AURORA POV:

"Hi" I said.

I stood up and walked over to the boy. He looks about my age but looks like he is sad and hiding something.

"Are you passenger or crew" I asked.

"Passenger" said the boy.

He took a deep breath.

"I'm, Peter Quill" said the man.

"Aurora Lane" I said.

"You have a pretty name" said Peter.

"Thanks" I said.

Peter smiled a shy smile. We looked at each other for a few seconds before I remembers.

"Do you know what's going on? No one else seems to be here" I said.

I saw Peter get nervous like he doesn't want to talk about it.

"You are the last passengers to wake up" said Peter nervously.

That, doesn't make any sense.

"You, mean like one wakes up per day or something" I asked.

I could feel a lump in my throught. I think I'm going to be sick. I feel a lump in my stomach as well.

"Come with me" said Peter.

I followed Peter to the pod room and looked at all the empty pods as we walked past them. They are sit there empty. But where is everyone?

"Why are we here" I asked.

Peter stopped walking in front of one of the pods and I stood next to him.

"You were the last passenger in Hibernation" said Peter.

"What" I asked.

Peter turn to face me and was fighting back tears.

"I'm sorry" he said as his voice cracked.

"For what" I asked.

Peter took a deep breath to try and relax.

"Five years ago there was a power surge. Causing many of the passengers to wake up early. Myself included" said Peter.

"Well, if that's the case then where is everyone" I asked.

"I'm sorry. I tried to stop it" said Peter.

Tears fell down his face.

"Hey, it's okay" I said as I put my hand on his cheek.

Peter put his hand over mine.

The feel cold.

"Those of us that woke up found out we have five years to go. For a year we made it work. We rationed the food so there would be enough for everyone later, had jobs, and took care of each other. Then, I guess some got jealous or something and. Started killing the passengers who were still in hibernation" said Peter.

I was surprised by this. I had no idea something like that could happen. Especially if there is still hope. They couldn't wait five years?

"They were caught and killed. I was one of the ones who had to kill them to save everyone but. I was the only one to survive the attack" said Peter.

We said nothing and Peter closed his eyes as he cried. I pulled him closer to me and wrapped my arms around Peter for a hug.

"It will be okay. I'm here with you" I said.

Peter hugged back and sobbed into my shoulder. I can't even imagine what that must of been like. It sounds awful.

"How long were you alone" I asked.

"A year and three weeks" said Peter into my shoulder.

And I was the only other passengers left. I rubbed Peter's back and let him cry it out.

"Well, you're not alone anymore" I said.

Peter hugged me like he was scared I would vanish if he let go of me. I can feel him shaking as he cried in my arms. More then a year, especially after what happened. I can't even imagine what that must of been like.

"Deep in the meadow, under the willow. A bed of grass. A soft green pillow. Lay down your head. And close your eyes" I started to sing.

I remember my parents would always sing that song for me and my sister Prim when we were upset.
