They stood at the entrance, tickets in hand, grinning like kids.
"Ready for the best date ever?" Yoongi asked, nudging Jimin with his elbow.
"Only if you can keep up," Jimin teased, tugging Yoongi by the wrist as they walked through the gates. The air smelled of caramel popcorn, cotton candy, and something deep-fried, making Jimin's stomach growl.
They started with the biggest coaster in the park—"The Meteor." The four of them lined up for the ride. The line was long, giving them plenty of time for nervous excitement to build. Jimin, always the adrenaline junkie, bounced on his heels.
Yoongi, on the other hand, eyed the steep drop with suspicion. "You swear I won’t die on this thing?"
"Absolutely," Jimin said, grinning. "I mean, probably."
Jimin and Yoongi easily slipped into one row together, leaving Taehyung and Jungkook to share the seats behind them.
Taehyung was nervous, he didn't say a word but he was slightly scared, it was visible in his eyes and Jungkook had noticed.
"Just don’t puke on me," Jungkook muttered playfully as they strapped in. He wanted to distract Taehyung from his fear.
Taehyung frowns looking at the younger, he smirked. "You act like you wouldn’t deserve it."
Jungkook rolled his eyes but didn’t pull away when Taehyung's knee bumped against his.
The ride started with a slow climb, and Jimin instinctively gripped Yoongi’s hand, now scared a little himself. Yoongi seemed calm as it started. When the coaster plummeted, he let out a scream, but Yoongi’s laughter beside him made it impossible to be scared for long.
As the coaster climbed higher, Taehyung suddenly gripped the safety bar with white-knuckled intensity.
Jungkook noticed. And, to Taehyung’s complete surprise, he reached over and intertwined their fingers.
"You’re okay," jungkook said, his voice softer than usual.
Taehyung's’s breath hitched. It was the first time in a while Jungkook had touched him like this—deliberate, reassuring. His heart pounded, and for once, it had nothing to do with the impending drop.
The coaster plunged, their stomachs flipping, screams and laughter filling the air. But the only thing Taehyung could focus on was the warmth of Jungkook’s hand still holding his.
As they rolled into the final stretch, Jimin turned to Yoongi, breathless.
"Okay. That was insane."
"And we’re just getting started," Yoongi said with a wide grin and cheeks flushed red.
....
After a few more rides—including a haunted house where Jimin nearly jumped into Yoongi’s arms—they found themselves at the carnival game stalls. Jimin stopped in front of a "Ring Toss" booth, eyeing a stuffed blue dragon.
"Think you can win that for me?" Jimin asked, folding his arms.
Yoongi smirked. "Challenge accepted."
On his first toss, the ring landed perfectly, the stuffed cat plushie.
Jimin gasped looking at his boyfriend, he smiled hugging the elder. The booth worker handed it to Yoongi and he presented it to Jimin with a proud smile.
"For you, my love."
He accepted it, tucking it under his arm. "I’ll cherish it forever." He blushes, tucking his hair behind his ear.
"Okay, I need that plush bunny," Jungkook announced.
Jimin smirked. "Ah, so you do have a soft side."
Jungkook ignored him, already taking aim. His first toss missed completely. So did his second.
Taehyung crossed his arms, smirking. "Wow, for a guy who brags about his precision, this is embarrassing."
Jungkook side-eyed him. "Big talk from someone who nearly cried on a roller coaster."
Taehyung scoffed. "I did not cry!"
Yoongi and Jimin exchanged amused glances as Jungkook tried one more time. Another miss. He groaned in frustration.
"Here, let me show you how it’s done," Taehyung said, stepping up beside him. He stood way too close, his chest nearly against Jungkook’s back as he grabbed a ring. "It’s all in the wrist."
Jungkook went completely still, his heart stuttering. Taehyung’s breath was warm against his ear, his hands brushing against Jungkook’s as he guided the motion.
The ring landed perfectly.
The booth worker handed Taehyung the plush frog. "Nice shot!"
He turned to Jungkook, a cocky grin on his face. "For you," he said, offering the bunny.
Jungkook stared at him, something unreadable in his expression. Then, instead of taking the plushie, he grabbed Taehyung’s collar and kissed him.
Hard.
Taehyung barely had time to process it before his body reacted instinctively—his arms wrapping around Jungkook’s waist, pulling him closer. The world faded—the flashing lights, the carnival noises, the distant shouts of excitement from the rides—it all disappeared.
When Jungkook finally pulled back, breathless, he smirked. "Now that’s precision."
Taehyung blinked, stunned for half a second, looking at the younger turn around to walk away. He frowns.
Jimin shares a look with Yoongi, both in absolute shock, they blink a several times as they watch Taehyung follow Jungkook.
....
Jimin and Yoongi wandered into the food section next, stopping at a stand selling oversized turkey legs. Yoongi grabbed one immediately, taking a giant bite. Jimin, meanwhile, was more interested in the fried Oreos.
"You have to try this," Jimin said, holding up the deep-fried treat. Yoongi leaned in for a bite, humming in approval.
"That’s dangerously good," he admitted.
By the time they made it to the cotton candy stand, they were stuffed but couldn’t resist sharing a bag. As the sun dipped lower, they sat on a bench, watching the park lights flicker on.
"This has been perfect," Jimin said, resting his head against Yoongi’s shoulder.
Yoongi turned, pressing a quick kiss to Jimin's temple. "Yeah. And the best part?" He pointed to the Ferris wheel in the distance. "Saving the most romantic ride for last."
....
Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's arm, turning him around. Jungkook looked at him, raising his brows, "do you wanna go to the Ferris wheel?" He asked
Taehyung frowns but before he could say anything, Jungkook is already grabbing his hand and walking them towards where Jimin and Yoongi were.
"I think we should talk for a moment Jungkook" Taehyung said trying to let go off the hold.
"Yes, I think we should" Jungkook nods, grabbing the hand tighter, leaving Taehyung confused and nervous.
