every time I recall my lowest point,
You are associated with that thought.

when I am infected with covid,
i remember how you looked at me
when we got the results and said,
"We will get through this."

when I get sore eyes,
i remember you coming to see me
despite the risk of infection
and telling me that
you miss me.

i remember the moment
when I felt like everyone hated me
and the world was against me,
but you were there to support me.
"I'm here, love."
"Everything will be fine."
"Don't worry, I'll stay."

those kind words console me
and make me feel less isolated.
however, you went above and beyond.
everything you did was appreciated
this was the kind of devotion I anticipated
the one who stood even in my deepest
you became my safe place.
