Chapter 13

Taehyung still went to his company because he had a lot of things to do, mostly since his company was facing a crisis right now so he couldn't take a rest even if he wanted to.

As he was walking out of his car, a woman in her 40s grabbed his collar.

“You... It was you who killed my son!”

Taehyung doesn't have any idea what she meant by that.

“How dare you... how dare you do that, hah?! Weren't you in love with him before? Are you that broken to the point you need to kill him?!” she growled to his face.

“I don't understand what you are talking about; I don't know who's your son,” Taehyung tried to pry her away, but she tighter her grip on his collar.

“Now you are acting ignorant, It was Gyun!” she shouted. Oh, so he was the mother of that bastard. “now you remembered him, do you? He was your first love and everything, you can't forget my son that easily!”

Taehyung sighed and gently pushed her hand away from his collar.

“As I said, I don't know what you are talking about. That's right, I remembered him, and I used to love him but that's not the case anymore. I don't care about him and I totally cut all my ties with him years ago.” he told her.

“Don't lie! You've met him recently, didn't you? Just right after that, he went missing!” She shouted.

“That's not my problem anymore; whatever happened to your son is none of my business. Besides, it's not like I'm your son's only enemy; he is a bastard, so it wouldn't be surprising if one of them fortunately killed him.” Taehyung retorted in a taunting tone.

“What did you just say?!” she was about to slap him, but a hand stopped her from doing that.

“Oops, please don't lay your disgusting hand on my fiancé; I don't want him to get germs, you know,” it was Jungkook smiling, but his eyes weren't.

“Don't touch m─Argh!” she whimpered in pain as Jungkook tightened his grip on her wrist.

“Did you understand?” Now, his tone was a threat while glaring at him.

The woman swallowed hard took her hands from him, and left just like that.

“It seemed like you had an unlucky day today, don't you think so?” Jungkook smiled; this time, his smile was soft.

“Of course, you're the first one I saw in the morning, I knew it would be unlucky for me.” Taehyung started to walk.

“Well, at least I saved you,” Jungkook chuckled.

Taehyung stopped and turned around to face him.

“Say, Jungkook, it was you, right?” he asked Jungkook and looked at him. “it was you who did something to whatever happened to that bastard.” he said.

“Why don't you try to take a guess, love?” Jungkook snickered.

Taehyung sighed and turned around once again to continue walking.

“It doesn't matter to me whatever happened to him...” he muttered. “just don't get yourself in trouble just for me.” Taehyung mumbled.

Jungkook just stood there, not bothering to follow him.

“But baby, you're the trouble, and I'm just chasing you,”

He mumbled while looking at Taehyung who was walking away from him. A chuckle left his mouth.
