01 - TheLegend of Konoko Uchiha -

Konoko Ucihiha (10), a Genin of the Hidden Leaf Village who is running away as she witnessed the Uchiha civilian members along with officers were killed by Itachi.

"I can do this, I must survive this, I hold a grudge against the Uvhiha Clan for polotting a coup. This is the price to pay." Konoko Uchiha said. "My loyalty was in the Hidden Leaf Village not in the Uchiha Clan."

A nearby ANBU, Masato Sarutobi, saw her running away and chased after her. "Hey! Stop right there!"

Masato Sarutobi came to Konoko.

"Why are you still here in this compound? You could have been killed by Itachi. You should have left the compound by afternoon." Masato Sarutobi said.

"I was in the orphanage in the Uchiha Compound, no one has visit me, knowing that I'm not full blood Uchiha since I'm half Uchiha and half Hyuga." Konoko Uchiha said.

Masato listened intently, his eyes narrowing in both sympathy and concern. He wasn't blind to the ostracization she had faced due to her mixed roots.

"Hmph. Orphanage, hmm?"

He took in her appearance—a young Genin, yet possessing a resilience born out of a difficult life.

"Why didn't you run away earlier?" Masato Sarutobi asked.

"I locked the orphanage door and I locked myself into the room because I feared that the Uchihas might killed me if they see me as not a full blood Uchiha, they're too stricted." Konoko Uchiha said as tears fell down from her eyes.

Masato's expression softened at her tears, his features momentarily betraying a hint of compassion. He knelt down to her level, his eyes meeting hers.

He reached out, his hand resting gently on her shoulder, a silent gesture of reassurance.

"Hmph, they may have been narrow-minded, but you're still a child. You deserve to be safe and cared for." Masato Sarutobi said.

Hiruzen the 3rd Hokage showed up.

"Just as I thought. This is a very dangerous move for the Uchihas to kill a non-full blooded Uchiha, it's an act of crime if they do that." Hiruzen Sarutobi the Third Hokage said.

"Lord 3rd, I think we should giving her a protection since she is half Uchiha and half Hyuga." Masato Sarutobi said. "I suspected that the Uchihas don't like non-full blooded Uchihas."

Hiruzen listened thoughtfully, his expression grave.

He nodded in agreement, his eyes drifting to Konoko.

"You're right, Masato. If she's in danger in the Uchiha Compound, then we must ensure her safety." Hiruzen said.

The Hokage turned his attention back to Konoko, his gaze gentle but firm.

"From now on, you'll be under the protection of the Leaf Village. You won't be returning to the Uchiha Compound." Hiruzen said.

"There are some few non-full blooded members of the Uchiha Clan who lived inside the LEaf Village." Masato Sarutobi said. "One of our ANBUs, Kanae Uchiha, who is a kunoichi who is hald Uchiha and half Uzumaki, she'll looked after Konoko."

Hiruzen called Kanae.

"Kanae, you looked after Konoko, she managed to escape this nightfall from the Uchiha Compound during Itachi's start of killing his entire clan." Hiruzen Sarutobi the 3rd Hokage said. "Don't forget some Uchihas from the Uchiha LEaf Police Force have managed to infiltrate the Foundation headquarters two days ago."
