The morning light cast a soft, golden glow through the curtains, illuminating Juhee as she stirred, her senses gradually pulling her back to reality. Blinking her eyes open, she found herself lying on Wonbin's bed, his hand still resting near hers. She turned her head slightly, realizing he had stayed by her side all night, sitting by the bed, his head now leaning back against the chair, eyes closed in a light sleep.

For a moment, Juhee let herself admire him quietly, taking in the peaceful look on his face. She reached out, hesitant, brushing a stray strand of hair away from his forehead, feeling a warmth in her chest at this unguarded side of him. It was a side she didn't often see-a softness that contradicted the reserved, distant air he usually held.

As if sensing her touch, Wonbin's eyes slowly fluttered open, meeting hers. Their gazes held, a lingering silence hanging in the air between them. He blinked, looking momentarily surprised before a faint smile tugged at his lips.

"How are you feeling?" he asked softly, his voice still rough with sleep.

Juhee managed a small smile. "Better... thanks to you. I didn't mean to... intrude like this."

He shrugged it off, looking away. "It's no big deal."

But the warmth in his voice betrayed him, and she could see that he cared more than he was willing to admit. Neither of them spoke as she got up, joining him in the kitchen for a quiet breakfast.

When they finished eating, Wonbin took her bowl, moving with a familiar ease as he washed the dishes. Juhee lingered in the kitchen doorway, watching him, a silent gratitude filling her chest. He had stayed up to care for her, never once complaining, and his presence had brought her a comfort she hadn't felt in a long time.

After a while, she moved to the doorway, glancing down at her shoes, readying herself to leave.

Just as she reached for the doorknob, she turned back one last time, meeting his eyes. "Thank you... for everything. I don't think I would've been okay last night without you."

A faint smile played on his lips as he took a step closer, his gaze steady and soft. "It was nothing," he murmured, his voice low. "I just... didn't want you to feel alone."

There was a pause, a beat of silence where their eyes held, lingering in a quiet tension. Neither of them moved, as if bound by an invisible thread drawing them closer. Juhee took a small, hesitant step toward him, her heart racing, and felt a pull she couldn't quite resist.

Almost unconsciously, Wonbin's hand moved to her waist, his touch gentle but grounding. She felt warmth spread through her at the contact, and as his fingers tightened slightly, she was pulled even closer, the space between them disappearing.

Their breaths mingled, and then, without another word, he leaned down. His lips met hers softly at first, testing the moment, but as she responded, his hand held her a bit tighter, guiding her into him. The kiss deepened, slow and tender, his other hand reaching up to gently brush her cheek. She melted into him, her own hands coming to rest on his shoulders as she leaned in, savoring the warmth and comfort he offered.

It was a kiss that spoke volumes-unhurried, almost hesitant, as if neither wanted to break the moment. His hand on her waist kept her close, pulling her just enough to erase any distance between them, his touch both comforting and electrifying.

Finally, they broke apart, their faces still close, both catching their breath. Juhee opened her eyes, finding herself wrapped in his arms, his gaze holding an intensity she hadn't seen before. Her cheeks flushed, and she managed a small, shy smile, one that he returned with a softness that was entirely new.

Without another word, she took a step back, her heart still pounding, as she turned to leave. Wonbin stood in the doorway, his eyes following her until she disappeared down the hall, the warmth of their shared moment lingering long after she was gone.
