It had been a month since Scott had recovered from the battle with Nega Scott and regained consciousness. It seemed like he had a long way to go to make his future with Ramona Flowers more than a mere dream but an actual reality. It wouldn't be easy. Scott's aware of that much, and given what had transpired, knew it would be awkward—having to talk to Lisa Miller just to secure the wedding location.
That's tough, and to make matters more complicated? She and Scott have a weird bond as is. Not quite lovers, not quite enemies, somewhere in the middle. It's a weird limbo-like state. So much was at stake here. Scott's willingness and determination were present. Nothing could deter this man from marrying Ramona Flowers. He did not care who or what doubted him. He'll make his vision come true.
Scott and Ramona walked over to Sneaky Dee's, the restaurant Lisa Miller has known for centuries—maybe not quite that long, but longer than most might've guessed. As Scott entered the building, he exhaled, knowing he would have a long, awkward, and somewhat baffling day ahead of him. Scott isn't sure what to make of this, let alone how it'll play out, but he eagerly hopes that everything will be smooth sailing.
If it only were that simple, alas, it's not. And the uneasiness on his face? Ramona could see through that and could tell that this man was extremely dedicated to her. It won't be an easy feat to pull off, but Scott has pulled through before and defeated all of her exes; surely he can make it through this.
Ramona spoke up, picking up on his awkward silence, knowing that it would be a day full of surprises, nervousness, and Scott being heistant. It didn't surprise the woman at this point. She's picked up on all of Scott's quirks, pros, and cons, yet still finds herself drawn to him. One might say it's a magnetic pull that keeps the two together despite the odds being stacked against them. She finds his flaws oddly endearing, in a dorky kind of way, and he does mean well; he just needs to think more.
"Scott, if you don't want to do this we don't have to-" Scott interjected. "No, I want to do this. I don't want you to have a boring wedding that's in a church or some subway tunnel; I want it to be meaningful, and I have to do this." Where did Scott Pilgrim get this assertive confidence from? It's baffling but intriguing.
"Okay, but if you need someone, I'm here." Scott smiled at her. "I know Ramona, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me." He gently kissed her cheek before walking to find Lisa Miller. The smirk that formed on Ramona's face was that of a confident and happy woman.
Scott searched the entire restaurant for her, not having a clue where the hell she was. He eventually walked up to the rooftop, and after what felt like a half hour, he found her sitting on a chair. Was she expecting his arrival? Or was she just there for the sake of being there?
Scott wasn't sure, and he didn't have much to process it either. Once Scott's presence was known, the bubbly blonde stood up and walked over to him. Seemingly curious about why he was there and what the man wanted from her. This was going to be an interesting conversation. Scott exhaled, knowing that Lisa might be aggressive or calm or somewhere in the middle towards him. This wasn't going to be an average conversation.
