Scott and Ramona decided to head to Second Cup for a caffeine fix, Scott was hesitant about going due to Julie Powers being there but figured he needed some energy. His bond with Ramona is a complicated but intriguing one that some people question, and others admit, depending on who you ask. Once they set foot into the establishment it seemed like there weren't many customers today, probably a slow day on all accounts.

Which isn't too abnormal every business has its busy days and slow days it's to be expected especially for a coffee shop. It's not surprising either given that Julie's attitude tends to aggravate customers, which explains why Scott's sister Stacey ends up getting more tips by default. It seemed like nothing could go wrong so far, but that would all change when Julie emerged at the counter.

Scott felt his stomach twisting in knots, he wasn't fond of this woman. And she wasn't exactly interested in his shenanigans a rough combo all around. Scott was about to speak up when the raging, super bitch spoke up in a tone that consisted of utter malice. "UGH Scott Pilgrim what the fuck do you want?!" Scott gulped. "Well, I-"

Ramona wasn't too fond of her tone. "Julie you better watch your tone. Play nice." Julie scoffed. "Of all the people you could date why this loser?! He's an incompetent dumbass!" Ramona glared at her.

"Oh, and you have a right to judge his dating history when you've dated Gideon Graves? The most manipulative, narcissistic, person on the planet?" Julie seemed speechless and without a proper retort to that statement. "You got me there..." She sighed. Scott glanced at Ramona. "So, should we order something?" Scott asked her. "Yes," Ramona replied.

Julie groaned and eventually spoke in a dull tone that was slightly less bitter. "What do you two want to order?" Julie asked sounding defeated. Scott smirked at her and responded swiftly. "I'll have a frappuccino." Julie shook her head in annoyance. "You're getting a kick out of me seeing like this aren't you Pilgrim?" Powers asked.

"Considering how you're the rudest, nastiest, bitch I've ever met yes. I mean you're bitchier than Envy Adams, but don't have a fraction of her class." If Julie could scream right now she would but she restrained herself. "And I'll have a pumpkin spice latte," Ramona replied. "Coming up..." Julie walked away to prepare the drinks.

Scott and Ramona sat down on chairs, waiting while thinking of stuff. Scott has something special in mind for Ramona, that he's wanted to do for a long time. Though it might take a while for him to pull off. He has saved up more than enough money for this thing in question too. It's not another video game, it's not an instrument, it's not even a movie for that matter, it's something of dire importance.

That's how different and special Ramona is to this man. It's rare for Scott to consider the thing in question for any woman let alone her. "Hey, Ramona." Ramona looked at him. "Yeah, Scott?" She seemed curious. "When we get back to the house, there's something I need to discuss with you." Ramona perked her ears up in curiosity.

"Is it a good thing or bad thing we need to discuss?" Scott would clarify. "A good thing." She seemed curious. Julie then returned with the drinks. "Here's your crap, I guess." Ramona looked at her. "I know you hate your job, but you can pretend that you care about your customers?" Ramona asked. " No, I cannot." Julie walked off annoyed.

The two of them sipped their drinks, the quality was serviceable. After a few minutes, they had finished consuming the drinks and got up prepared to leave Second Cup. As they were about to exit through the front door, Scott's sister Stacey appeared. It seemed like she was curious about something like always. Stacey's always interested in hearing the latest tea, but she does platonically look out for her brother even if she has a strange way of showing it.

"Hey, Scott." Scott seemed perplexed by what Stacey wanted. "Do you need something, Stacey?" Scott asked her. "Yes. I heard that you and Kim are on better terms now. How did you pull that off?" She asked. "Oh, you know, apologizing, knowing up to being an idiot, all that fun stuff. I don't expect us to be best friends or anything, but she and I are at least friends now." Stacey was bewildered.

"You... taking accountability? Never thought I'd see the day when you'd grow up." Ramona smirked. "Well, he's been growing a lot as a person and I'm proud of him." Stacey had one last thing to say. "Scott, you have a good one this time. Don't screw it up!" She yelled. "I won't," Scott replied. The two of them then exited Second Cup Coffee together.

They walked back to the house, once they entered the building, Scott sat down on a couch. Ramona sat next to him. She seemed curious about something. "Scott, what is that thing you wanted to discuss earlier?" She seemed curious given how they were dating for a few years, but seemed casual so far, nothing serious or advanced. Scott had the most serious look on his face and spoke up in a solemn tone.

"Ramona you and I have been together for a few years now. There's something I've been saving up money for." Ramona seemed perplexed. "Another video game system?" Ramona asked. Scott shook his head.

"No." Ramona tried to guess again. "A crappy movie?" She inquired. "Not even close," Scott replied. "A DVD of some weird TV show or cartoon?" Scott exhaled. "No, something better." He then pulled out a ring for her. "I want to marry you." Ramona seemed flabbergasted.

"Marry me?! Scott, I don't know what to say..." Scott looked at her. "You're an important woman to me and I figured that if I'm going to be with you. Then I have to be serious." Ramona was trying to piece her thoughts together. "It's a big step, Scott, there's going to be a lot of planning we have to get done you know? This will take months to pull off." Scott looked at her. "I know, but I want to do this with you. I'm willing to take this extra step for you." Ramona gasped.

Scott then asked her the pertinent question. "Ramona Flowers, will you marry me?" Ramona looked like she could cry. "Yes, I will." She then placed the ring on her finger, and grabbed his shirt, pulling him for a long passionate kiss that lasted about ten minutes, leaving Scott speechless. He was trying to regain some air but struggled. He reciprocated the kiss, then the two broke the kiss off.

There was a lot of planning they had to do now, and a lot to think about given the circumstances of this interaction. "We have at least ten months to pull this off, Scott. There's going to be a spot we have to pick, then the best man, bride's maid, entertainment, food, you sure you want this?" Ramona asked him.

"I've never been so sure of anything in my life. I'll handle the invitations. I can tell you who's not invited before we begin." Ramona listened to him. "Gideon Graves is not being invited." Ramona wasn't surprised. "Anyone else?" Scott pondered it. "I think that's it." Ramona chuckled. "A short list then." Scott nodded.

The two spent the rest of the day laughing and thinking about their future. It seemed like things were looking brighter, and there was a light at the end of the horizon. Some might call it fate, others will refer it to as destiny, they know how special they are to each other. It's going to be a long couple of months ahead for them but they're not worried.
