The wedding day's approaching more, and both of them have a lot on the line. For Scott, it's the first time he's been a commitment this serious. For Ramona... it's also a new experience for her, and they're reaching new territorty all around here. It's something that can make or break their bond. Perhaps, even strengthen it more; ultimately, much like life itself, it will be far from an easy task to pull off.
It remains to be known how things might play out, but the couple does seem optimistic; Scott knows that he might have to make a lot of sacrifices for the two of them. The kind that every partner needs to show their dedication. So one might ask, what kind of sacrifices is Pilgrim willing to make? The answer is more blunt than one might've guessed.
Scott's having a yard sale, selling many of his old video games and albums. As well as comics for that reason too. What is he seeking to gain for doing this? To have money to afford the wedding in the first place, usually, he would hate to depart from his favorite possessions.
However, given the scale of what he wants and the seriousness in his tone lately, he's willing to do anything to make their future a reality. Even if it involves selling a lot of his stuff in the first place, he can always get newer things if he feels like it later. Ramona's onboard with the idea, but then again, it's beneficial to both of them.
Scott's currently sitting in a chair, waiting for some potential buyers. Before long, he sees a familiar face—a person he normally doesn't speak to that often, actually. None other than Hollie Hawkes herself, Kim's co-worker and also a frenemy who seems to have a knack for driving Kim nuts. Scott doesn't understand the full context of their bond in the first place, although he doesn't need to begin with.
Quite frankly, it's none of his business, but he doesn't seem to have much of a bond with Hollie to speak with. They're merely acquaintances. Hollie grabbed a comic and looked at him. "How much for this?"
Hollie asked while sounding nonchalant. "Uh, that'll be fifteen bucks." Hollie scoffed. "Hmm, I suppose that's fair." She handed him fifteen dollars before walking off. A slow start but not too shabby.
Another person emerges soon after she does. Who's the next individual in question? Well, it's someone that Scott also doesn't know that much, either. A person that's vaguely appeared from time to time in his life, but he cannot remember for the life of him. Jason Kim, one of Kim Pine's more perplexing exes.
Though, honestly, he's not that memorable in the first place. Aside from his notorious affair with Hollie that ended their relationship, he doesn't stand out in any particular way. Scott squinted. "You uh want something?" He asked. Jason nodded. "Yeah, I'll take one of your video games." Jason walked over and grabbed one. "Okay, that'll be twenty-five dollars. Who are you again?" Scott asked.
Jason Kim looked at him. "Jason Kim, I dated Kim Pine." Scott wasn't making any connection. "Doesn't ring a bell to me. Like at all." Jason shook his head. "I helped her move some stuff out?" Scott vaguely got an idea. "Oh, you were that guy with the boxes, okay!" Jason Kim handed Scott the money before walking off.
It seemed like it would be a long day all around. Good progress, but definitely off to a sluggish start so far. Ramona, who has been sitting next to him this entire time, seems impressed so far, regardless. The fact that he's willing to do this for her? Well, it's a first. None of her exes have even done something this serious for her. Scott's dedication to her remains unwavering.
