Kageyama spikes the ball over the net as Hinata practices his receives, but he misses the ball, falling to the ground.
"Hey, your feet stopped short" Kageyama says angrily, "what happened to your serving and receiving reflexes from yesterday? You need to focus!".
"All I'm doing is receiving... there's not much time left!" Hinata says as he pulls himself up from the ground, "I want to spike, too! I want to jump, too!".
"Go jump around then!" Kageyama shouts angrily.
"Hey, you guys" Tanaka says as he tries to calm them down, "I should give you fair warning. Daichi-san is usually gentle, but he's extremely scary when he gets angry. I mean extremely".
"We know" Kageyama and Hinata say as they remember who they encountered yesterday.
"It won't be good if he finds out about this morning practice" Tanaka says as he folds his arms, "it won't be good for me. It's not that I'm scared or anything. Absolutely not. Absolutely not at all. But anyway, the three of us here are the only ones that know about this morning practice, so make sure that you-".
"Morning practice, huh? I knew it" Sugawara says as he slides the door open, Kirika standing next to him.
"Suga-san" Tanaka says, his heart rate calming.
"Hey" Sugawara says happily, "Kirika-chan is here, too".
"Hi, you guys" Kirika says as she waves at the three of them.
"But why..." Tanaka asks as he walks to the two of them.
He's a third year.
Hinata says as he looks at Sugawara.
"Because you were obviously weird yesterday" Sugawara says as he sits down, taking his normal shoes off as he slips into his sneakers, "you're always barely on time, but you voluntarily asked to be in charge of opening the lock".
"Oh... ah..." Tanaka says as he realises he's been caught.
"Don't worry, don't worry. I won't tell Daichi" Sugawara says with a soft chuckle, "this is like a secret training or something. It's kind of thrilling".
"So, what is this then, Tanaka-chan? Some kind of extra training?" Kirika asks as she pulls out her camera, snapping a few shots.
"These two idiots need to work on their teamwork, and since Daichi wants me to be on their team, I need to be the one who whips them into shape" Tanaka says proudly.
"That's so kind of you, Tanaka-chan!" Kirika says happily.
"Don't be tricked by him, Kirika-chan" Sugawara whispers to Kirika, "he's only doing it because he's terrified of Daichi".
"Am not!" Tanaka shouts as he starts to pout.
"Is Daichi-kun really that terrifying?" Kirika asks as she remembers her first impression of Daichi, "he seems like a good leader to me".
"No, don't get me wrong. Daichi is an amazing leader and has been ever since he took over the role, even before that" Sugawara says as he looks at her, "but he cares about Karasuno a lot, and whenever there is a threat to our team or something isn't write, he does everything in his power to make it right".
Sugawara and Kirika sit down as Sugawara talks to Kirika more about the members of the volleyball club as individuals, while Tanaka, Kageyama and Hinata continue on with their training.
"Come and get it!" Tanaka yells as he jumps into the air, spiking the ball that Kageyama tossed to him, "good, that was excellent".
"Kirika-chan, do you mind if I go help Hinata with some receives?" Sugawara asks as he looks at Kirika.
