When Nagi got Y/n's next letter, he realized he'd been waiting for it, checking the mail pile more often than he'd like to admit. Reo noticed, of course.

"Still keeping up with those letters, huh?" Reo teased, handing over the envelope with a wink. "Is your penpal growing on you, Nagi?"

"Not really," Nagi shrugged, though he was already pulling the letter open. "It's just... something to do."

Inside was Y/n's handwriting, familiar by now and a little messier than before, as if she'd been too excited to take her time.

Hey Nagi,

Naps and rooftops? Okay, I see you-mysterious and chill. I'd totally love to relax on a rooftop someday, but I don't think I'd be able to nap up there. I'd just end up staring at the sky, haha.

Something random I enjoy? Hmm... I guess I love people-watching? Like, just sitting somewhere and observing everyone passing by. Everyone's in their own little world, and it's kind of funny to imagine what they're thinking.

Oh, and guess what? My school's having a festival soon with another school, so I'm helping out. I might even be at a game booth or something! Are you into festivals, or too lazy for that?

Looking forward to your reply!

Nagi re-read her letter, lingering on the part about people-watching. He'd never thought about it before, but... it made sense. Maybe he'd try it sometime. Reo peered over, smirking.

"Sounds like she's having fun. You going to write back or just keep staring at her letter?"

"Yeah, yeah," Nagi mumbled, pulling out some paper. As he started to write, he found himself replying almost without thinking.

Hey Y/n,

People-watching, huh? That sounds kind of interesting. I never paid much attention to what other people are doing, but... maybe I'll give it a try.

A festival sounds like a hassle, but yeah, my school's doing one too. Not sure if I'll go though. Might be too much work.

What kind of game booth are you helping with?

Nagi paused before sealing the letter, almost surprised by how much he'd written this time. Maybe this letter exchange wasn't such a hassle after all.

As he handed the letter over to Reo, he couldn't shake the strange feeling in his chest. For once, he found himself wondering: What would it be like to actually meet her?
