Chaos would be a small word to describe what was happening in Maheshwari Mansion. Ragini watched in silence as her game played out in full glory. Rift between the brothers, both the head ladies of Maheshwaris stopping the fight and hurling curses on Swara, holding her responsible for everything.
Sanskar's throat didn't hurt as he continued to assure both his mothers about how Swara could never do such things. The accusations were baseless!
He stopped as Swara walked in, he sighed in relief but he quickly frowned seeing her empty eyes. She looked tired, exhausted. He watched in silence as she walked in, her eyes fixed somewhere. He followed her gaze, she was looking at Ragini. Both his mothers had already started to question her harshly, but all those noises were muted to him. He could only look at Swara and wonder what was going on in her mind. Swara reached the center of the hall still looking at Ragini.
"We are asking something Swara", Annapurna's stern voice hit Swara's ear. She let out a sigh and looked at the person she fondly called as badima. How long did it take for this woman to humiliate her, then shower her love and back to humiliate her like this again?
"Everything is a lie, you both are misunderstanding me badima. I am not interested in both your sons. I will soon divorce Sanskar and leave from here", Swara said lifelessly.
As much as those words hurt Sanskar, he already knew the truth. But more than the words, Swara's behavior was making him worried. Her eyes that always expressed everything she felt expressed nothing today.
"Oh really?" Sujata asked sarcastically and then there were thousands of questions. Why did she give mauli to Laksh? Why was she with him at the farmhouse?
"Swara you brought a house with Sanskar?" Laksh asked out of no where and Swara finally looked at him, her eyes turning red in anger. It took her only few seconds to realize Ragini wouldn't have succeeded if she didn't blindly loved and trusted her and also not if Laksh didn't help her.
"Enough Laksh! I already told you to stay away from her and you have no right to question her. She is Sanskar's wife, only he can question her", Annapurna said.
"But maa.." Laksh wanted to convince his mother only to be interrupted by Swara, "You heard her Laksh!"
Laksh looked at Swara as she crossed her arms and asked calmly, "You cannot question me, did I ever tell you I am interested in giving you another chance?"
"Swara you.." he started only to be interrupted by her again. "Yes or no?" She asked sternly and Laksh gulped, all these days he wanted her so badly. He was now starting to understand he was once again losing her.
"You might have never said it but you would have given him hints", Sujata spat angrily and Sanskar closed his eyes annoyed.
Swara smiled a little and said, "Fine Mom, then let me make it very clear. Laksh I hate you!" Laksh blinked his eyes to stop his tears as she said it easily.
"You told me you want to be just friends with me and give Ragini a chance. I am sorry but my friendship with you has cost me a lot. You are no one to me. I hope it is clear now", she turned to Annapurna and said, "I promise you I will never come near Laksh again".
Laksh hurriedly went near her and Swara quickly stepped back looking away.
Annapurna shook her head disappointedly at her son and said, "This is not over Swara then why were you.."
"I told you. You all are misunderstanding me.." Swara said simply not answering any other question which added to the frustration of Annapurna and Sujata.
