What were you supposed to do? You loved Clint so much, so why couldn't your parents accept it? Sure, he was a bit older than you, but his intentions were good. You met his momma and he talked about marrying you someday after you finish your university degree. So why couldn't your parents accept him?
The phone on your desk rang, making your heart jump in your chest. You were so focused reading that the phone sound scared you.
"Yes?", you say picking it up.
"Hi love.", you hear Clint's voice from the other side.
"Clint!", you say excited. You haven't seen him in three days because of your university exams.
"I was wondering if you would like to go to the cinema tonight? There's this really nice movie showing."
"Well, Clint...", you hesitate. "I should study a little more."
Clint always understands that.
"Maybe a little distraction could help you to relax a bit about the exams.", he tries to convince. "But I understand if you rather stay home studying. It's okay, darling."
You think about it for some seconds. Clint was probably right. You were killing yourself studying lately.
"What time?", you ask, and you can almost guess that he smiled on the other side of the call.
"Six o'clock?"
"Sounds perfect."
At the right time, you heard a car stopping on the side of the road next to your house. You checked your look once more in the mirror on your room and looked through the window to see your lover waiting for you in his car.
