When the doorbell rings you feel amazed because you are not waiting for anyone. It was Valentine's Day and all you wanted was to spend your peaceful night at home to watch a romantic movie on TV.

You were even more surprised when on the other side you saw your friend Paul.

"Hey Paul!", You greeted him when you opened the door.

He brought a bunch of flowers and kissed your face.

"Please come in. Feel free.", You said, giving him space to enter the room. He already knew the house well because you were friends for many years.

You accompanied Paul into the living room and he held the flower bouquet towards you. It was beautiful.

"Happy Valentine's Day," he said, his face turning red. "I know you love flowers."

"Oh, thanks Paul.", you accepted the flowers and smelled them. "They are beautiful. Very beautiful."

"Well, I thought the most beautiful woman in the world deserved to receive flowers this day ...", he said suddenly and you smiled.

"Do you think I'm a beautiful woman?"

Paul looked embarrassed and cleared his throat before speaking:

"The most beautiful of all in my eyes," he said, his face already red.

You couldn't contain a smile. Paul was always a sweetheart. Maybe that's why he had your heart for so long.

He got a little closer to you and you were nervous. His gaze moved from your eyes to your lips and you felt the urge to kiss him. Did he feel the same? Suddenly the room seemed to get hotter. You wanted so badly to feel his warm lips on yours.

"Can I kiss you?", Paul's question took you by surprise and you only managed to nod when he threw the flowers on the sofa and kissed you for the first time.
