Tatsuya Ishida leaned over his sewing machine, the rhythmic hum filling the air of his apartment. Sunlight streamed through the large windows, illuminating the colourful fabrics scattered across his living room. It had been a whirlwind of a few weeks since he'd met Mikano, and he couldn't help but reflect on how much his life had changed since then.

Gone were the days of solitude spent buried in manga. Now, he found himself surrounded by laughter, creativity, and the exhilarating chaos of working on their cosplay project. Mikano's enthusiasm was infectious, and each session spent crafting their costumes felt like a breath of fresh air. He caught himself smiling as he remembered the late-night brainstorming sessions, their conversations spilling over with ideas and dreams.

"Hey, Tatsuya! Pass me that blue fabric, would you?" Mikano's voice broke through his thoughts, snapping him back to the present. She was sitting cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by sketches and fabric swatches, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

He handed her the fabric, watching as she expertly draped it over the costume they were creating together. "You know, I never thought I'd enjoy this as much as I do," he admitted, his fingers still busy adjusting a piece of fabric on his side.

Mikano looked up, a grin spreading across her face. "See? I told you it would be fun! Cosplay isn't just about the costumes; it's about bringing characters to life. Plus, we get to work together!"

As they continued their project, Tatsuya felt a warmth spreading in his chest. Mikano's passion for cosplay had reignited something within him—a sense of purpose he hadn't felt in a long time. He no longer viewed it as an escape but as a shared adventure, one that opened doors to creativity and friendship.

Just then, the door swung open, and Mikasa entered, carrying a large bag of snacks. "I come bearing gifts!" she announced, her cheerful demeanour lighting up the room. "You two look like you could use a break."

Kaito followed closely behind, rolling his eyes playfully. "Or maybe they just need someone to save them from their endless sewing."

"Hey! We're making progress!" Tatsuya protested, though a smile crept onto his face.

Mikasa laughed, tossing Tatsuya a bag of chips. "Let's see what you've got so far. I want to be impressed!"

As they settled in for a break, the four of them began sharing stories and laughter. Tatsuya felt a sense of belonging wash over him, something he had long thought lost. Mikasa teased him about his "serious face" when he concentrated, and Kaito remarked on how far he'd come since they first met.

"I really admire how you're embracing your interests, Tatsuya," Kaito said, leaning back against the couch. "It's inspiring."

Tatsuya felt a flush of warmth at the compliment. "Thanks. It's just... I didn't realize how much I was missing out on. Working with you guys has really helped me see that."

Mikano leaned closer, her expression earnest. "It's okay to feel lost sometimes. What matters is that you're trying. We all have our struggles, but we can support each other."

The conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with encouragement and camaraderie. Tatsuya found himself laughing and sharing more than he ever thought he would. Mikasa's advice about balancing hobbies with responsibilities resonated with him, and Kaito's stories of finding confidence through creativity gave him hope.

As the afternoon wore on, they dove back into their project. However, just as they were making headway on one of the costume pieces, they encountered a setback. Tatsuya held up a section of fabric, frowning as he realized it didn't fit the way they had planned.

"This isn't right," he muttered, frustration bubbling up inside him. "I messed it up."

Mikano's expression shifted to one of understanding. "It's okay, Tatsuya. Mistakes happen. Let's figure out a way to fix it."
