Episode 29: A Christmas to Remember

The air was filled with the crisp chill of December, and the city was aglow with festive lights and decorations. Christmas was just around the corner, and excitement buzzed in the atmosphere. Tatsuya and Mikano had been busy planning for their first Christmas together as a couple, and Mikano had something special in mind.

As they walked hand in hand through a market filled with twinkling lights, Mikano's eyes sparkled with delight. "I can't wait to show you my Santa cosplay! I've been working on it for weeks," she exclaimed, her cheeks flushed with enthusiasm.

Tatsuya chuckled, glancing down at her. "I'm sure it's going to be adorable. You always put your heart into your costumes."

Mikano beamed at the compliment, her heart racing. The thought of sharing this special moment with Tatsuya made her giddy. "I just want everything to be perfect for Christmas this year."

They continued to stroll through the market, admiring the various stalls offering handmade ornaments, hot chocolate, and festive treats. As they passed by a stall filled with beautifully decorated Christmas trees, Tatsuya spotted a particularly stunning one, adorned with shimmering silver and gold ornaments.

"Let's take a picture by that tree!" he suggested, pulling out his phone. They posed together, laughter spilling from their lips as they captured the moment. Mikano loved how easy it was to be herself around Tatsuya, and how he always encouraged her to embrace her playful side.

Later that evening, as they returned to Mikano's home, the warmth of the house welcomed them. Her parents, Haruka and Haruto, were bustling about, preparing for their own family Christmas traditions. Mikano's heart swelled with happiness as she thought about sharing this holiday with Tatsuya.

"Mom, Dad! Look who's here!" Mikano called out, leading Tatsuya into the cosy living room adorned with garlands and twinkling fairy lights.

Haruka turned with a warm smile, her eyes lighting up at the sight of Tatsuya. "Tatsuya! It's great to see you again! Are you ready for the festivities?"

"Absolutely, Mrs. Kushida. I'm excited to spend Christmas with you all," he replied, his cheeks slightly flushed.

Haruto entered from the kitchen, wiping his hands on a towel. "Tatsuya! Glad to have you here, son. We've got some traditional dishes planned for the holiday dinner!"

As they chatted, Mikano slipped away to prepare for her big reveal. She had put a lot of thought into her Santa cosplay, wanting to impress Tatsuya and show off her love for the season. After a few moments, she emerged from her room, her costume complete.

"Ta-da!" Mikano announced, striking a playful pose. The outfit was a charming red and white ensemble, complete with a fluffy hat and a little bell that jingled when she moved.

Tatsuya's eyes widened, his mouth forming an "O" of surprise. "You look incredible, Mikano! Wow!"

Mikano's heart fluttered at his reaction. "Really? You think so?"

"Absolutely! You're the cutest Santa I've ever seen," he said, a genuine smile lighting up his face.

Mikano's cheeks flushed with warmth as she twirled, the fabric of her costume flowing around her. "I'm so glad you like it! I wanted to make this Christmas special for us."

Her parents watched the exchange with smiles, sharing glances of approval. "You both make a lovely couple," Haruka said, her voice soft and warm. "We're so happy to have you here, Tatsuya."

The evening continued with laughter, stories, and a delightful dinner filled with traditional holiday dishes. Mikano and Tatsuya exchanged playful banter and tender glances, their bond deepening amidst the warmth of family and friendship.
