Mina finished changing and glanced at herself in the mirror. Pulling her hair into a loose ponytail, she listened to the faint sounds of conversation and movement downstairs. She was supposed to head out to Taehee's house soon, but a lingering annoyance kept her from moving quickly.

Just as she reached the top of the stairs, the sound of the front door opening filled the hallway. She looked down to see her siblings, Heeseung and Aerum, stepping inside. Heeseung looked tense, his jaw set in a hard line, while Aerum's usual light expression was replaced with an uncharacteristic scowl.

Before Heeseung could take more than a step forward, their mother, Hana, caught sight of him and moved to intercept him.

Hana: Heeseung, what's wrong? You look lile you're about to break something.

She said sharply, stopping him in his tracks.

Heeseung let out a sharp breath, shaking his head in frustration.

Heeseung: You're about to find out.

As if on cue, the door swung open again, and in walked Ni-ki, looking slightly defiant, with a familiar figure trailing behind him, Eunkyung. Mina froze on the staircase, her grip tightening on the railing as she watched the scene unfold below.

Heeseung turned around at the sound of their entrance, his fists clenching at his sides as he narrowed his eyes.

Heeseung: That's what happened.

He said coldly, pointing a finger toward Ni-ki and Eunkyung.

Ni-ki barely glanced at him, a dismissive smirk playing on his face.

Ni-ki: Oh, so we're still on about that? I told you to back off.

Heeseung: Back off?! You're dating my sister and you show up with her.

He gestured toward Eunkyung, whose expression was somewhere between uncomfortable and defensive.

Eunkyung cleared her throat, trying to inject herself into the argument.

Eunkyung: It's not like Ni-ki was doing anything wrong. We're just friends now.

Aerum scoffed, crossing her arms.

Aerum: Just friends? You think that makes it okay for him to just leave Mina hanging?

Mina sighed, already feeling a headache forming from the tension in the room. She stepped down the stairs, finally catching everyone's attention.

Mina: Can you all just shut up?

She said, voice low but firm.

Mina: I don't have the energy for this — especially not from you.

She added, shooting Ni-ki a glare.

Ni-ki raised an eyebrow, folding his arms as if to brush off her frustration.

Ni-ki: Mina, come on, there's no need to get upset over this.

Heeseung looked at Ni-ki, anger flashing in his eyes.

Heeseung: Look what you did to her, Ni-ki. She's got a headache because of you.

Mina let out a frustrated sigh, rolling her eyes.

Mina: Heeseung, seriously, stop. This isn't worth wasting your energy on.

Ni-ki nodded in agreement, a slight smirk still on his face.

Ni-ki: See? Even Mina thinks so.

But Mina shot him an icy look.

Mina: You're one to talk. Or did you forget that you're the one who punched me at school today, making me pass out?
