Naomasa's POV (Intel said otherwise)

I was trying to gather my emotions and thoughts as they spiraled in my head. I felt overwhelmed with emotion at what the ki- no my soon to be kid said. I looked down next to me. Finally I was getting to meet and see Kaizen in person. The very kid that was responsible for all those mini heart attacks.

Now that he was standing right next to me I could get a good look at him. He looked to be about 13 to 14 years old. One of the first things I noticed was his green emerald eyes, I couldn't help noticing he was a bit pale. As for his suit it consisted of, a dark green hood no doubt to help keep his hair hidden from view. Black combat boots that were obviously modified in some way. Last but not least dark black cargo pants, pockets littered all around probably hiding more smoke bombs. He also wore a dark green jacket. It looked to be made of  some sort of  bulletproof material. But the one part of his costume that stood out to me the most was his mask. The only thing I had actually seen from afar. Its black metal would be seen reflecting off the moonlight of the night. It looked to be used as a gas mask as well as to aid him into staying as anonymous as he is today.

But it wasn't the mask itself that caught my attention, it was the green blade like slashes that were present on the front of his mask. I would always see them in the night glowing brightly before Kaizen disappeared without a trace. Now that I was seeing the mask up close the glowing streaks were in fact blade slashes. My concern only grew when I recalled how Kaizen had told me he was badly injured only hours ago. 'How is this kid still standing?' I thought looking at him once again.

He glanced at me curiously but otherwise continued walking down the large halls of U.A. I was walking beside him when he suddenly stopped walking abruptly. I turned to him confused. When suddenly the room felt too cold to be normal. I glanced at Nezu who was riding on top of Eraserhead's shoulder. I met his gaze and when I did it was almost manic, he was staring next to me. I snapped my head in Kaizen's direction. The kid had completely stopped at this point. He breathed out a breath, an icy cloud came out of his mask. He didn't look confused or scared so most likely this was his quirks doing. Most likely an ice related one. But that still doesn't answer why he activated it now? "Kaizen Kid are you alright?" He didn't respond just closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The temperature in the room wasn't as bad as it was moments ago but it still was colder than it should be.

The kid opened his eyes to reveal them in swirls of blues and greens. The kids eyes went wide in surprise and confusion. But I didn't get to wonder for long. All of the sudden there was a wave of dangerously cold air. It burst like a bullet out of a gun. Frost crept around the young teen as it spread all around the school. Even making it out and onto some of the trees outside the building. I reached out to the boy. "Kaizen what's happening!" Kaizens eyes turned completely blue and he stilled completely. "Little Listener! Are you ok?!" Present mic touched Kaizen's shoulder before he retracted his hand like the boy had burned him. Mics usual loud cheerful personality faded and in its place stood a more serious expression. "The little listener is dangerously cold". I quickly bent down to get at eye level with the kid. I was slapping his cheek gently. "Kaizen!! Snap out of it bud!". By the time I looked up Eraserhead was already kneeling down on the opposite side of Kaizen. Putting a hand on the kid's forehead. He nodded after a moment. "Mics right the kid isn't well. I would deactivate his quirk but we don't know the backlash it might cause him in this state. Especially since we don't even know what his quirk is... to many unknowns"

I nodded. "Understandable" But what do I do now, we can't just leave him in this state. I had been lost in my own thoughts for not even a minute but by the time I looked back up. The kid was staring right at me. I practically sagged with relief. His green eyes stared into my black ones. The kid sighed as if he was thinking of something before he started mumbling at a fast pace. The only thing I could make out of it was the words. 'So much work to do, tired, and sleepy'. He looked up at me. Already dozing off a bit. "Sorry... I didn't mean to worry you honest. It's rare. But my quirk can over power me, this just happens to be one of those times". The kid looked completely drained of all energy. And when he began to sway I stood next to him. He was now leaning into my side. "Sorry Dad-tective I'm just gonna take a little nap..." I hummed in agreement. "That seems like a good idea kid". The kid huffed in amusement before saying something that once again surprised and made me want to tear up all over again. "My name is Izuku... you... can stop calling me Kid or the Kid".

And just like that he was overcome by exhaustion. A soft smile made its way onto my face as I repositioned him so I was now carrying him in a a bit of a hip carry.  Izuku... I think I could get used to that name. The k- Izuku was light enough to be carried without much struggle. He's also kind of still cold. Actually now that I think about it he's absolutely freezing!! I should probably get him a blanket as soon as possible. I hope he doesn't get sick...He's really light... maybe a little too light... is he eating enough?? That reminds me I need to get the spare room set up... I don't even have any grocery's in the apartment I need to buy that. Oh and Izuku will probably need some essentials too. My mind went on and on. With all the things I needed. That's when I realized I was not ready to bring a kid home...

"I have a lot to do" ...

That's when I looked up. Only to be met with four pairs of eyes. Eraserhead just looked smug as Mic looked at me with disbelief as he handed Eraser 60,000 yen. Recovery Girl who had just been silently watching all of this unfold just smiled at me then said. "You better bring your boy to me or another licensed Doctor Naomasa we all can tell he'll probably need a nutrition plan and a physical". I nodded in agreement Izuku does look like he needs a check up. Nezu just looked the same as ever. "You really do care for the boy. You're all ready acting like a parent...". He was probably going to say more but Recovery Girl cut the Rat God off. Namasa let's do a quick check up in the infirmary. The young teen seems like he is only suffering from extreme exhaustion but we can never be too sure, so let's get him checked then you can take him home". Nezu then popped in. "Yes but make sure you come back so we can get all the required information needed for the change of young Izuku's guardian". I nodded glancing down at the boy fast asleep in my arms.

'This isn't going to be easy but it will be more than worth it'.

Hawks's POV (Intel said other wise)

I walked into the hero and safety commissions main office casually wearing my hero suit and just giving off a carefree vibe.

lies...

My past handlers would be proud, they completed what they set out to achieve, the perfect hero puppet. A weapon for them to use at the flick of a finger. My training has not failed me yet and it continues to aid me even now. I'm a pro at hiding my emotions and what am feeling they made sure of that. And call it an instinct or a gut feeling or what ever you want. But at this very moment my gut is practically screaming at me 'change is coming and the down fall of the commission is here'.

"But like a good little puppet I'll 'gladly' keep my mouth shut and wait".
