Kaizen's POV
The only sound that could be heard in that lonely alley was the cars speeding by or the noise of a stray cat knocking things over in search of food. A glance at my device told me I was still connected to the com...'maybe the frost bite was a little overkill?' A noise brought me out of my head. Was that a huff of... amusement?? My hand came up to my forehead to check if I had a fever, because there is no way the Detective, a adult wasn't going to at least scold me for gravely injuring another person even if they are a villain. That's what adults were supposed to do when kids did something bad right? I mean Inko never scolded me ever, not that she can be used as a proper comparison though. "You're not even going to scold me?" I asked bewildered glancing down at Overhauls limp body. The man's face was badly scratched and swollen probably from when he fell to the ground. His side and leg still had his own spike sticking out of his flesh, his eyes rolled back so far they appeared white. Blood still dripping on the very floor I stand on. I internally grinned, he got what he deserved. "Never mind I get why you aren't mad at me for giving this sorry excuse of a human being a beat down". The words came out of my mouth more blunt than I originally expected.
The Detective then spoke up, amusement leaking into his tone. "I saw the report from sir-night eye..." he muttered something almost incoherent, another thing we have in common. "Although I have to agree... OverHaul is the person to do this too... if what he says is true, which it most certainly is that means the kid just single handedly made a very dangerous villain completely incapable of using his quirk ever again...". I don't think he meant for me to hear that so I kept quiet still kind of worried he was just lying and was about to start screaming at me. My mind started to drift off to those not so fun days in middle school. That not only my classmates made hell for me but also the teachers. 'What am I thinking Dad-tective is not one of those people he was always nice to me'. The detectives voice snapped me out of my gloomy thoughts. "So I'll let it slide this one time. Anyways mind sending me the information you got on this case? Then maybe we can go to U.A and get everything finalized... if that's still what you want of course". I didn't even have to think about my reply as it just flowed out of my mouth easily. It felt as if my body suddenly became aware of just how drained it actually was. "Yeah that sounds good Dad-tective... and I know I've been asleep for like three days and all, but in all honesty I really just wanna sleep".
Turning around and promptly ignoring the villain on the floor. I let out a sleepy yawn rubbing my eyes. as I began walking deeper into the greasy and humid alleyway. Pulling up my handy little hacking device once again. Typing on the screen as I continued to walk and do a quick overview of all the information. I could hear Dad-tective typing on his computer likely getting everything on his end ready. So this case could be investigated and processed quickly as well as efficiently. Once I triple checked the data I sent it over to the Dad-tectives computer. "Thanks Kaizen I just got the data".
A few more moments passed. I could mostly just hear Dad-tective talking to his colleagues, the flipping of case files or just his fast typing skills. "Hey Izuku are you still at the scene or did you leave? I'm going to pick you up so we can go eat something before we head to U.A". I thought for a moment before deciding to head to the Apartment first before he got here. I'm still in my vigilante costume and I'm all dirty from the fight."You there kid?..." I shook my head as if that would clear my thoughts. "Yeah I can probably meet you at the 'crime scene' in like 15 minutes? I just want to go to the apartment I was staying at before. I wanna change out of these clothes before we leave for U.A". I stood on top of the building looking down at the alleyway now. Just waiting for his approval before heading in the direction of Inko's old apartment.
"Are you sure you want to go by yourself? I could be there in 5 minutes at the most. That way we can pick up anything you want to bring with you and load it in the car". The jingle of his keys was the only indication that he was walking out of his office. Later followed by an audible click of the door. shrugging even if he couldn't see it. "Sure that works to". So there I waited on that roof only the noise of citizens buzzing around and my thoughts to keep me company.
