Izuku's POV (Intel said otherwise)

After I read that mission request the Todoroki family sent me, I had to force myself to not get to excited or I wouldn't sleep for another day or so. And no one, not even me wants there body to completely shutdown from exhaustion.

(Trust me I have done it more times than I like to admit... but we don't need to nag at past Izuku's stupidity)

There's also the fact that my quirk can activate on its own if am not focused enough. You see when I got my quirk at nine I had no way to control it and let's just say I probably still have some unwanted trauma from those not so happy years. I turned off my computer but not before making sure all my security was up and running on "Kaizens" platform. I then dragged myself to my bed and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Aizawa's POV

Shota Aizawa likes to think of himself as a pretty understanding person, so when a couple of newly formed hero's were introduced to the underground recently. He was prepared to answer some questions here and there and that's it. But now he was just annoyed with them all. And don't get him wrong he understands them trying to claim certain territory for their patrol roots and trying to find their place in the underground. As he was in the same situation when he first started out. But sometimes people are just plain illogical. So once his patrol was over, all he wanted to do was pass out in his bed and not worry about anything else but himself and his cats. Definitely not the huge pile of homework that still needed grading, which was currently sitting in his living room. But like many other things in his life things didn't really go as planned.

I had just laid down on my bed, sleep already threatening to take over. When all the sudden my phone rang I glared at the object my quirk momentarily flaring to life, as if I could stop the ringing with my quirk alone. It stopped ringing and a notification came instead. I took a deep breath debating whether I should just ignore it and sleep tell my hearts content. But of course 5 more messages came piling in only a minute later.

I then begrudgingly stuck my hand out to my bed stand looking for my phone. Only once I had it firmly in my hand did I finally open my eyes. The bright screen momentarily blinded me. Once they adjusted I was able to see 5 frantic texts from Detective Tsukauchi. But that wasn't the most alarming thing about these texts. The most eye catching piece of information was that I had two messages from the Rat-satan himself. His text only said this.

Nezu-
Just a few minutes ago critical information was just leaked to me from the Musutafu Police Department.

Nezu-
Due to this new information regarding the on going case on the infamous vigilante Kaizen. We will be having a staff meeting as soon as possible. All staff is required to attend.

I sighed already feeling the huge headache that is sure to come from that meeting. But then I remembered what Nezu said in the first half of his message...

"Wait what new information?"

Suddenly I had a very bad feeling deep in my gut. Nothing good was going to come out of that meeting I just know it.

Naomasa's POV (Intel said otherwise)

I ran out of my office and went straight for the Chiefs office, he usually leaves the office pretty late so 3 in the morning shouldn't faze him to much. I knocked and only had to wait a moment before the chief called out. "You may enter". I walked in to see the Chief of Musutafu City police my superior Kenji Truragamea. "What is it Tsukauchi shouldn't you be working on that case?" I swallowed the lump in my throat then spoke. "I have crucial information regarding the Kaizen case" The chief  sighed. "What did he do now? Egg endeavors agency? Steal all of Nezu's tea cups and super glue them to the roof?" I shook my head. "I'm afraid not". A tired sigh escaped my lips as my shoulders sagged downwards. Not wanting to waste time beating around the bush I got straight to the point. "Kaizen helped me with a case... again". The Chief nodded following along as he looked at me like he was trying too see what was so odd about it. The kid was known for helping this station especially me out with particularly hard cases. Feeling my resolve weakening I blurted out what I had to say. "His voice changer glitched! Kaizen is a kid, probably between the ages of 12-17".

It was very quiet for several moments and I began to get nervous, should I have not told him? Should I have just kept this information to myself? what if the kid doesn't like that I told the higher ups? Then he might not want to interact with me anymore. What if he just ghosts everyone like he did all those months ago? Even worse what if the hero commission finds out he's just a kid?...  I let my mind process that last thought and I paled. There is no way I'm letting them get their hands on the kid. Who knows what they'll do to him, the commissions young 'hero program' has always been suspicious. Just before I could analyze the situation I caught the chief's gaze. He was thinking hard for several minutes but now it looked like he was having an internal debate with himself. He glanced at the picture of his kids on his desk. He took a deep breath and looked me straight in the eyes. "I don't want this new information regarding Kaizen getting out to the public and under no circumstances to the hero safety commission"

I looked at him like he had grown a second head. He looked at me with a serious look. "I don't want the Commission getting their hands on the spunky kid as much as you do... he's a good kid smart but slippery. Who knows what the committee will do if they find out. We don't want another Hawks situation". I was taken a back, I really didn't think he would tell me to keep this on the down low. But there was no way I was going to argue. "Yes of course..." he nodded he made a face as if he was contemplating something. "Although I wouldn't disagree on the decision to involve U.A high... but of course Nezu would have to guarantee the commission would not find out due to the teachers under his supervision". I nodded that would be a good idea. I'll talk to Nezu I'm sure he'll appreciate being let in on this information. Especially because he has taken in interest in the Kid". I nodded as a scowl threatened to display on my figures. "Well I have a lot of work I'll take my leave". With that last sentence I made my way to the door. "Oh and one more thing, you probably are going to want to have a good social worker on file for when we hopefully convince the kid to let you help him".

I froze half way out the door. How could he have possibly known. "How?..." the chief just smiled. "Anyone with a good pair of eyes can easily see you have had a suspicion he was a kid long before this even happened... I heard Nezu also had a suspicion. But he said you called dibs on adoption since you had a suspicion even before he did". A sigh of relief  left my mouth I didn't know I was holding. My body sagged with relief. "Was it that obvious?" He just chuckled. "Kinda". With that last comment I made my way out the door. A new found determination surged through me, I will help this kid. But I paused for a brief moment before closing the door.

"Thank you sir".
