The stars gleamed brilliantly overhead, casting a soft glow on the forest below. A girl with pink hair and a short pink suede skirt wandered along a dimly lit path, her head tilted up to the night sky. She drank in the sight of the stars, their light steadying her as she walked, preparing herself for what lay ahead.
She was going to join the Comets, a beyblading team she knew almost nothing about. Her brother had assured her it was a great opportunity, full of skilled bladers and camaraderie. But she couldn't shake her doubt; after all, he didn't always know what was best for her. Still, she didn't want to hurt his feelings. She'd promised to give it a chance—stay a few weeks, see if it felt right. And if it didn't, she could always walk away.
She sighed, closing her eyes for a moment, letting the cool night air settle around her. A faint rustle behind her made her freeze, and she quickly spun around, catching a glimpse of something—was it a flash of blue? Her heart skipped, but she brushed it off as a trick of her mind. Tomorrow, she would join the Comets, and the thought sent a swarm of nervous energy through her. It was just her jittery mind, she assured herself. Everything was fine.
