(Y/N)'s P.O.V
"It appears she has some memory loss, but it doesn't seem too serious."
As the doctor speaks to Grimsby, I look around my bedroom with fascination.
"Not too serious?" Grimsby questions, frowning as he shakes his head. "She couldn't even remember the way back to the castle from the beach! She's taken that path her entire life, and it's suddenly gone from her thoughts!"
The doctor rubs the back of his neck, his eyes shifting towards me. "At least she remembers who she is. She remembers she's our princess."
Grimsby sighs through his nose in a huff. "Will her memories ever be restored?"
"... Don't hold out hope for it," the doctor murmurs quietly, packing his case of medicinal supplies before leaving.
(D/N) sits next to the chair I was in, resting his head on my lap as his tail wags slowly. His tail picks up speed when I set my hand on his head, making him shift closer with a soft huff.
"Grim?"
Grimsby turns to me, clearing his throat and adjusting his black suit jacket. "Yes, dear?"
"What happened?" I question, shaking my head and wincing at the dull pain against the side of my temple. "All I remember was being saved by someone... But before that I don't..."
"Yesterday was your birthday," Grimsby softly reminds, making me nod slowly for him to continue. "The previous day we had been in Glowerhaven. The prince—"
"Asked me to marry him," I finish as a few bits and pieces come back to me, my brows furrowing in thought. "I said... no... and... we left because he was throwing a tantrum like a baby."
Grimsby chuckles quietly, his smile a bit sad. "Indeed."
He doesn't continue, making me frown as I stand and start to pace slowly.
"Then what?"
Grimsby clears his throat, looking down with sadness. "We... decided to celebrate your birthday onboard the ship, and we were having a merry old time. I gave you a birthday present—"
"That statue..." I vaguely recall the statue, remembering how I cringed at it as (D/N) snarled. "Then, you brought up how you wanted me to be married, and... lightning."
"A hurricane had hit us," Grimsby explains as I sit on the foot of my bed, (D/N) laying down at my feet. "And lightning struck our mast. We got the men and women out to safety before crashing, but (D/N) was still on board."
(D/N)'s ears droop, a low whine leaving him as he lays his head down between his paws.
"You went after him."
After Grimsby says this, a flash of memories enters my mind as I gasp and hold my head in pain.
"Oh, dear— perhaps this was a bit too much," Grimsby murmurs with concern, rushing over and urging me to lay down. "Another time. For now, rest. We need our Princess in tip top shape."
He turns to leave, at the door before I call out to him.
"Yes?" Grimsby questions, ready to blow out my candle light so I could rest for the night.
"Who... Who was that guy who saved me?" I question, sitting up in my bed.
Grimsby watches me for a few moments, shaking his head. "I'm sorry, my dear. I don't have the answer to that, myself. Now... try to get some rest."
He blows out the candle, slowly closing my door.
I look around the dark room, the moonlight illuminating the inside through my balcony window. (D/N) pads around the side of the bed, sitting besides me and looking from me to the bed.
He sets his head on the bed, waiting for permission to jump up as his tail wags behind him, his eyes big and pleading.
"All right, up!" I laugh lightly, (D/N) leaping up and moving towards the foot of his bed.
He gets comfortable, laying down curled into a ball with a sigh as he relaxes. I look to my nightstand, the unfamiliar necklace Grimsby discovered around my neck sitting on the wood. I pick it up, looking over it with a frown.
"His voice..."
(D/N)'s ear perks, raising his head to look at me as I speak.
"His voice was... so familiar, (D/N)."
(D/N) stares at me as his ears flatten a bit, a soft whine leaving him as he army crawls up to my side. He lays back down with his side pressed into mine, and eventually, I drift off in a restless sleep.

Third Person P.O.V
The morning sun shines down onto the sea, lighting up Atlantica as fish swim around the castle in groups.
"Caspian, come on!" Andrina shouts in exasperation, setting her hand on her hip. "You've been in there all morning!"
Caspian darts from the bathroom, the others noticing his frantic state. He sits down in front of his mirror, frowning as he looks over his reflection and turns to Adella.
"Do I look okay?!"
"Uh--" Her eyes flick to her sisters, who watch with bewilderment. "Y--Yeah?"
Caspian smiles in relief, turning to the mirror and fussing with his hair some more before turning and swiftly swimming towards the door. He runs into his father, blinking rapidly with a sheepish smile.
"Sorry, dad!" Caspian apologizes, giving him a quick hug before swimming past him.
Triton watches as his son swims away, softly humming a melody. His sisters move to Triton's side, watching him as well as he disappears around a corner.
"Oh, he's got it bad!" Attina murmurs, her sisters nodding in agreement.
"What?" Triton questions with concern, frowning. "What has he got?"
"Isn't it obvious, daddy?" Andrina turns to him, her eyes flicking back the way Caspian left in. "Caspian's in love."
Triton blinks rapidly in surprise, looking from his daughters towards the way Caspian left. "Caspian... in love?"
