(Y/N)'s P.O.V

I lightly hum the same melody the strange man that saved me had sang, closing my eyes and trying to put a face to that voice.

Red hair...

A sharp pain in my head makes me wince, my hand coming up and holding my aching head. (D/N) whines softly to get my attention, tilting his head when I glance at him.

"I'm fine, (D/N)," I reassure quietly, ruffling the top of his head. "I just... I just can't stop thinking about the guy that saved me. I know him, (D/N)! I know I do!"

(D/N) barks, scooting forward as his tail thumps rapidly on the ground.

"Ugh," I grumble, sighing as I plop down on the sand crisscross. "Something's missing, (D/N). I don't feel okay, and I feel sad. It's like... I'm missing someone or something. But... I don't know what."

(D/N) lays down besides me, and together we watch the waves gently sway.

Third Person P.O.V

Down the beach past a large cluster of rocks, Caspian laid with his back against the sand. His lower half was still in the water, his chest rising and falling with panting breaths as he catches his breath.

Flounder and Sebastian panted lightly as well, both tired from how fast they swam to the surface. Sebastian climbs onto a flat rock, collapsing on it with a huff.

Caspian breathes out deeply, slowly propping himself onto his elbow as he props his knee up. His eyes widen as he gasps, fully sitting up and slowly raising his leg out of the water. He looks at his foot in awe, wiggling his toes before laughing silently in delight.

"Well! Look what the catfish dragged in!" a voice greets, making him look up as Scuttle flies down. "Look at ya! Look at ya!"

Scuttle hands on Caspian's leg, his leg crossed over his other.

"There's somethin' different," Scuttle mumbles, rubbing his beak in thought. "Don't tell me! I got it. It's your hairdo, right? You've been using the dinglehopper, right?"

Caspian's brow raises, and he shakes his head.

"No?" Scuttle frowns, leaning his weight on his wing against Caspian's foot. "No, huh? Well, let me see... um... you got a new... scented soap?"

Caspian chuckles silently, rolling his eyes before lightly moving his leg up and down.

"No? No new fragrance?" the seagull replies with confusion. "I gotta admit, I can't put my foot on it right now, but if I just stand here long enough, I'll--"

"He's got legs, you idiot!" Sebastian yells angrily, startling Scuttle into taking off. "He traded his voice to the sea wizard and got legs. Geez, mon!"

Scuttle lands besides Sebastian, waving him off. "I knew that!"

"Caspian's been turned into a human," Flounder explains, watching as Caspian slowly and shakily rises. "He's gotta make (Y/N) fall in love with him, and he's gotta kiss her!"

Caspian stands upright with his arms out, beaming as he manages to stand. His legs aggressively wobble as he takes a step, making him silently yell out as he starts to fall.

"And he's only got three days!" Sebastian groans, flinching as Caspian falls into the water with a large splash. "Just look at him! On legs! On human legs!!"
