Here's to help with matching lyrics:

True gentlemen-        avoid it when they can!

But they don't and swoon and fawn, on a lady who's withdrawn!

My new lyrics:

"Your girl was              perhaps a special case!"

"But now that her mind is gone,     she's just another one of the fawns!"

I hope that helps a bit and makes some sense. It was hard to try to figure out what to insert for lyrics 😭

Third Person P.O.V

"Flounder," Caspian laughs softly in amusement, lifting the boulder away from their hideout and leaving it open as Flounder eagerly tugs on his hand. "Why can't you just tell me what this is all about?"

Flounder swims inside, releasing Caspian's hand as Caspian follows.

"You'll see! It's a surprise!"

Caspian's brow raises as he smiles at Flounder, coming to a stop besides him and looking into his cove.

His mouth drops open, a hand coming up and covering it as he gasps softly.

"Flounder... I-- I..."

Standing in the center of the cove was the statue of (Y/N), not a scratch along the smooth stone as the light above shines down on it.

"Flounder, you're the best!" Caspian shouts happily, hugging the guppy and spinning around as Flounder laughs.

He quickly swims up to the statue, tentatively reaching out and cupping her face in awe.

"It's beautiful, just like her! Look, it even has her smile!"

Caspian sighs dreamily, grinning ear to ear. His smile slowly falls, his eyes casting down.

"I wish I could be in her world..."

"Whose world?"

Caspian's heart sinks as his father speaks, making him spin around with a sharp gasp.

"D--Dad?!"

Triton was at the entrance of the cove, his expression hidden by a shadow but fury radiating off of him. Sebastian was behind him, biting his claw with an anxious look as Flounder quickly hides behind a treasure chest. He peeks out in fear, ducking back behind the chest.

"I consider myself a reasonable merman," Triton lowly speaks, words laced with enragement as he swims forward. "I set certain rules, and I expect those rules to be obeyed!"

Caspian open and closes his mouth, his eyes wide with horror. "Dad, I--"

"Is is true you rescued a... human from drowning?" he spits the word out in disgust.

Caspian's expression hardens, and he nods firmly. "Yes."

Triton's scowl deepens as he paces around. "Contact between the human world and the mer-world is strictly forbidden! Caspian, you know that! Everyone knows that!"

"She would have died if I didn't save her!" Caspian yells back, his hands clenching into fists at his sides.

"One less human to worry about!"

Caspian's jaw clenches. "You don't even know her!"

"And you do?!" Triton demands, turning away from Caspian. "Know her..." He scoffs. "I don't have to know her! They're all the same! Spineless!"
