Sonic POV.
I was sitting outside on the grass during gym class. Coach gave us a free day so I decided to sit under the shade of the bleachers. I curled up with my knees in my chest as I felt my eyes start to tear up. My ears perked up when I heard footsteps coming closer to where I was. I looked away quickly when I saw familiar shoes. "Sonic.... Could you look at me" Shadow asked.
Shadow POV.
"I can't...." Sonic said. I sat down next to him and he scooted away a little. "Why not?" I asked as I scooted closer. "I-I'll cry....." He shakily said. I was silent for a moment. I know he still loves me, it's just his dad. "Does your dad still hate me?" I asked. He only nodded with his back towards me. I sat back and looked at the blue sky. I was trying to figure out how I could get Sonic back. He is everything to me and I hate that we're not together. Than an idea came to mind. "What about we date in secret?" I said. He finally turned to look at me with a shocked expression. "Nobody has to know except us, your dad wouldn't have a clue" I said. "But what about Rouge, wouldn't she get suspicious?" He asked. "I never agreed on being with her in the first place" I said.
Sonic POV.
This is crazy! If I'm caught, it won't be pretty for me. But I miss him so much! I felt my heart beat quicken as Shadow held my hand. "M-Maybe" I muttered. The bell rang and I quickly got up and left before anyone saw me with Shadow. I walked until I reached the janitor closet. I went inside and expected to get grabbed but surprisingly, I was the first to get here. That's odd.....
