Part 34

As the second round matches continued, each fight brought new excitement to the crowd.

In the first match, Iida faced off against Ibara. Using his incredible speed, Iida dodged Ibara's vines and swiftly closed the gap between them. He darted around her, confusing her before delivering a solid push that sent her tumbling out of bounds. "Tenya Iida takes the win!" Present Mic roared, hyping up the crowd with his usual energy.

Next up was Tokoyami against Mina. Although Mina tried to use her acid attacks to weaken Dark Shadow, it barely fazed the shadowy creature. "DARK SHADOW IS NOT TAKING ANY DAMAGE FROM THE ACID!" Present Mic exclaimed. Tokoyami managed to keep Mina on the defensive until she was forced out of bounds. "Fumikage Tokoyami is moving on!"

The third match saw Bakugo versus Kirishima. Bakugo unleashed relentless explosions that Kirishima tried to withstand using his Hardening Quirk, but the continuous blasts were too much, gradually wearing him down. "BAKUGO'S RELENTLESS BLASTS WERE TOO MUCH FOR KIRISHIMA!" shouted Present Mic as Bakugo was declared the winner.

Then came the semifinals: Bakugo vs. Iida and Izuku vs. Tokoyami.

For the first match, Iida attempted to close the distance quickly with a powerful kick. However, Bakugo used his explosions to dodge and counter with a forceful blast, sending Iida out of bounds. "KATSUKI BAKUGO ADVANCES TO THE FINALS!"

Next, Izuku faced Tokoyami. Tokoyami unleashed Dark Shadow to attack, but Izuku used a telekinetic shield to block. Launching himself into the sky, Izuku maintained aerial control, keeping Tokoyami on the defensive. Each time Tokoyami tried to retaliate, Izuku's telekinetic pushes forced Dark Shadow back, edging him closer to the boundary. Finally, Tokoyami was pushed just outside the line. "AND THE VICTORY GOES TO IZUKU MIDORIYA!" Present Mic's voice rang out, filled with enthusiasm.

The finals had arrived: Izuku Midoriya vs. Katsuki Bakugo. The crowd buzzed with excitement.

"NOW, FOLKS, WE'VE FINALLY REACHED THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR—THE FINAL BATTLE OF THE FIRST-YEAR SPORTS FESTIVAL!" Present Mic's voice echoed through the stadium, his energy at full throttle. "ON THE LEFT SIDE, WE HAVE IZUKU MIDORIYA, DOMINATING THE COMPETITION WITH THE GRACE OF THE SKY AND A TELEKINETIC STORM!"

The crowd roared as Izuku spread his wings, casting a determined look at Bakugo.

"AND ON THE RIGHT SIDE, THE EXPLOSIVE WARRIOR WHO SHOWED NO MERCY—KATSUKI BAKUGO!"

Bakugo's glare was fierce, his hands already sparking as he prepared for the fight.

Izuku took a deep breath. "This is it," he thought. "I'm not 'Deku' anymore. It's time to move forward."

Present Mic raised his hand. "BEGIN!"

Bakugo lunged, propelling himself forward with a massive explosion, but Izuku dodged by rolling to the side.

"YOU'RE NOT GONNA USE THOSE WINGS OF YOURS TO FIGHT ME?!" Bakugo roared.

Izuku shook his head, standing his ground. "I'm done running from you, Bakugo. I'm not afraid anymore." He fired a telekinetic blast, countering Bakugo's explosion and canceling out both attacks in mid-air.

"STOP LOOKING DOWN ON ME, DEKU!" Bakugo yelled, his voice filled with fury.

Izuku held his gaze steady. "I've never looked down on you," he replied, his voice calm. Spreading his wings wide, he glowed faintly with green energy. "But I'll show you that I'm not the same as before."

Bakugo's eyes narrowed as he readied his final move. "I'll show you my ultimate technique!" He blasted upward, spinning fiercely as he created a tornado of explosions. "HOWITZER IMPACT!" he shouted, descending toward Izuku in a spiral of flames and smoke.

"IT LOOKS LIKE MIDORIYA'S JUST STANDING THERE!" Present Mic called out in surprise.

As the tornado spiraled toward him, Izuku's wings and eyes glowed green. He raised his hands, using telekinesis to halt the blazing spiral attack mid-air, the energy dispersing as he redirected it toward the stadium wall. The crowd gasped as the Howitzer Impact crashed against the boundary with a massive boom.

"BAKUGO IS OFF THE BOUND!" Present Mic announced, hardly containing his excitement. "MIDORIYA STOPPED THAT ATTACK MID-AIR—DIDN'T KNOW HE COULD DO THAT!"

From the teachers' section, Aizawa leaned in, dryly adding, "He has telekinesis. What did you expect?"

Present Mic cleared his throat with a chuckle, "Fair point, Eraserhead!"

With the dust settling, Bakugo lay just out of bounds, his fierce expression softened with exhaustion and grudging respect. The stadium erupted into cheers as Izuku stood victorious, breathing hard but triumphant.

"AND THAT'S IT, FOLKS! IZUKU MIDORIYA TAKES THE WIN OF THIS YEAR'S SPORTS FESTIVAL!" Present Mic shouted over the deafening cheers.

Izuku walked toward Bakugo, extending a hand. Though Bakugo slapped it away, he managed a curt nod, recognizing the win. The crowd's cheers surrounded them as Izuku soaked in the moment, knowing he'd finally left the past behind and was ready to forge a new future.
