After the Provisional Hero License Exams, Class 1-A resumes their normal schedule. During homeroom, Mr. Aizawa announces the next step in their hero training: Hero Work-Studies. This immediately garners the interest of the students.
Tsuyu Asui raises her hand, asking for more details.
Mr. Aizawa explains, "Hero Work-Studies are an opportunity for you to make use of the connections you garnered at the Sports Festival. These are longer-term activities, unlike your internships. In the past, hero offices would compete to recruit U.A. students, but now, it's up to you to manage this on your own. I'll give you more details on how to document your experiences later."
This piques everyone's interest even further, and whispers of excitement ripple through the room.
Then, Mr. Aizawa adds, "To give you better insight into what Work-Studies entail, I've invited a few people to help explain. Meet U.A.'s top third-years, also known as The Big 3."
The door opens, and three students walk in: a thin young man with messy black hair and pointy ears, a cheerful girl with sleek, long hair, and a muscular blond boy with a strange grin.
As the three third-years enter, Izuku immediately recognizes the blond male student from last year's Sports Festival. "I remember him... but he didn't place very high. The other two didn't finish in the top either. What makes them 'The Big 3'?"
Mr. Aizawa calls on the shaggy-haired boy to introduce himself first.
The student, Tamaki Amajiki, glares at the room, making several Class 1-A students shiver. His intense expression quickly turns into nervousness as he mumbles, "I... I can't... They're all looking at me. I tried imagining them as potatoes... but they're all humans..." He places his head against the blackboard and mutters gloomily, "I want to go home..."
The room falls silent, stunned by his strange behavior.
Next, the girl steps forward with a bright smile. "Hi, everyone! I'm Nejire Hado!" she chirps. "Let's talk about Work-Studies!" However, instead of staying on topic, Nejire bombards the students with questions. "Shoji, what's under your mask?" before he could even respond she went to another student "Shoto, how'd you get that burn?" "Mina, do your horns grow back if they break?" " Minoru, how does your hair work?" "Tsuyu, what kind of frog are you?" "Can I touch your wings" She said to Izuku who backed up a little in his seat.
The students exchange confused glances while Mr. Aizawa pinches the bridge of his nose.
Finally, the blond boy steps up. "Don't worry, Mr. Aizawa, I'll take it from here. I'm the star of today's show!"
With an enthusiastic grin, he yells, "The journey ahead—"
Class 1-A stares blankly.
Mirio pauses before continuing. "You were supposed to say, 'will be full of difficulties.' Never mind! Let's move on. I can see some of you are confused, but that's okay. I'll show you what I mean."
Mirio then challenges Class 1-A to a fight. "I'll take all of you on, right here and now!"
This declaration shocks everyone. At Gym Gamma, as they prepare for the match, Sero asks, "Are you serious about fighting all of us at once?"
Mirio replies confidently, "Absolutely. Come at me however you like!"
Tamaki, still leaning against the wall, mutters, "Don't scare them too much..." Meanwhile, Nejire playfully warns them, "Be careful! Mirio's had a tough time getting to where he is."
The fight begins.
The Class 1-A students spread out, each trying to find an opening against Mirio. Kirishima, Tokoyami, and Iida charge in first.
