Izuku and Kota soared through the forest, pursued by Muscular, and spotted Mr. Aizawa up ahead. Aizawa noticed a figure flying toward him at high speed, with the sounds of trees breaking and crashing echoing in the distance. Izuku landed near Aizawa, panting as he handed Kota over.

"When he gets here, erase his quirk," Izuku instructed between breaths.

"Who?" Aizawa began to ask, but his question was cut short as Muscular came into view, eyes locked on them.

"Found you!" Muscular sneered.

Quickly getting the message, Aizawa activated his Erasure, causing Muscular's augmented muscles to retract. Taking advantage of Muscular's vulnerability, Izuku lifted him telekinetically, slamming him repeatedly against the ground until he was unconscious, much like he had done with Stain. Aizawa watched in astonishment.

"Fight smart, not hard," Izuku said with a smirk.

"Problem child," Aizawa sighed. As Izuku prepared to fly back toward the smoke-filled forest where other students were still scattered, Aizawa stopped him.

"Where do you think you're going? Your friends are inside," he said, pointing to the building behind him.

"They're looking for Kacchan—I have to warn him," Izuku replied.

"Kacchan? You mean Bakugo?" Aizawa asked. After a brief pause, he instructed Izuku to relay a message to Mandalay.

Elsewhere, Mandalay and Tiger were battling Spinner and Magne. Spinner managed to keep Mandalay occupied, while Magne was holding his own against Tiger. As Spinner was about to strike Mandalay with his bladed weapon, Izuku swooped in, snatching the weapon with his telekinesis, startling Spinner. After landing, Izuku informed Mandalay that Kota was safe and passed along Aizawa's message to authorize the students to use their quirks in self-defense. Mandalay used her Telepath ability to relay this to all students, allowing Classes 1-A and 1-B to fight back against the Vanguard Action Squad.

Aizawa, meanwhile, understood that the villains were targeting the students and accepted that allowing them to defend themselves was necessary, even if he'd have to face the consequences later.

Izuku told Mandalay that the villains' goal was to capture Katsuki, asking her to inform everyone. Just as Izuku took off into the forest, Magne attempted to intercept him, but Spinner blocked her, declaring that Stain deemed Izuku worthy of being a hero, and he would respect that judgment. Mandalay seized this opening to knock Spinner down, allowing Izuku to escape. She quickly relayed the message for Katsuki to avoid fighting, as he was a target.

In another part of the forest, Shoto was engaged in a fierce battle with Moonfish, using his ice to keep the villain's teeth attacks at bay and warning Katsuki not to use his explosions, fearing it would ignite the poisonous gas in the air. Shoto realized they were trapped in a bind between Moonfish and the gas surrounding them.

Meanwhile, Tetsutetsu and Itsuka, suspecting a villain was controlling the gas, made their way through the forest to find and confront Mustard. As they neared, Mustard, expecting them, drew his gun and fired at Tetsutetsu.

As Izuku flew through the forest, he heard explosions echoing in the distance, pinpointing Katsuki's location. Dodging an attack mid-air, he glanced down and spotted Dark Shadow rampaging with Shoji hiding nearby. Retracting his wings, Izuku landed next to Shoji and quickly assessed the situation. He learned that Dark Shadow had lost control after witnessing Shoji get injured by Moonfish, who managed to slice off one of Shoji's limbs with his knife-like teeth. Shoto and Katsuki were already engaged in battle with Moonfish.

Seeing an opportunity, Izuku and Shoji sprinted toward Shoto and Katsuki, with the enraged Dark Shadow following close behind. The plan worked; Dark Shadow's rampage overwhelmed Moonfish, allowing Shoto and Katsuki to subdue Dark Shadow using Shoto's fire for light and Katsuki's explosions. Now back in control, Tokoyami felt guilty for losing control, but Shoji reassured him that he wasn't to blame.

Izuku reminded them of their mission to protect Katsuki, suggesting they escort him back to camp. Katsuki, visibly irritated by the need for protection, reluctantly accepted the situation as the "Bakugo Escort Squad"—consisting of Shoji, Shoto, Izuku, and Tokoyami—began their journey back with him.

Meanwhile, Tsuyu and Ochaco were locked in a fierce fight with Himiko Toga, who had already inflicted a small wound on Ochaco's arm. Himiko used her machine to draw blood through tiny wounds, overcoming her quirk's limitation. Just as Tsuyu tried to protect Ochaco, Himiko managed to stab Ochaco's leg, starting to drain more blood.

The Bakugo Escort Squad arrived in time to interrupt, forcing Himiko to retreat. Before leaving, she cast a longing look at Izuku. Once she was gone, Izuku asked Ochaco and Tsuyu to join the escort, but they noticed that Katsuki and Fumikage had disappeared.

Suddenly, Mr. Compress appeared, revealing he had used his "magic" to trap Katsuki and Tokoyami in a marble. Izuku, weary from the constant battles, decided to handle it his usual way—slamming Mr. Compress into the ground with his telekinesis until he was unconscious, freeing Katsuki and Tokoyami from his marble prison.

"Let's not waste any more time," Izuku said, urging everyone to head back to camp.

At the villains' rendezvous point, Dabi and Twice waited impatiently for Mr. Compress, realizing that their plan was starting to unravel without him. Dabi, resigned, noted that sometimes plans didn't go perfectly. But with Compress delayed, the villains' hold on their objective was slipping.

Outside the camp, Mandalay and Tiger had successfully subdued Spinner and Magne, but as they prepared to secure the villains, Kurogiri appeared, surrounding them in his black mist and they escaped. They regrouped with Dabi and Twice at the rendezvous point. When Himiko arrived, Dabi asked how her mission went, and she replied that she only managed to collect the blood of one person. "Now we just have to wait for Mr. Compress," Dabi noted, and they settled in to wait.

Meanwhile, Izuku and the rest of the Bakugo Protection Squad, with a tied-up Compress in tow, returned to camp and regrouped with the other students. Mr. Aizawa, relieved, took a headcount and confirmed that all of Class 1-A was accounted for. "We need to keep an eye on this guy," Izuku advised, indicating Mr. Compress. "He has a Quirk that compresses people into marbles—he almost got away with Kacchan and Tokoyami."

Not long after, Mandalay and Tiger arrived at the camp as well. Mandalay immediately asked, "Is Ragdoll here?"

"No, she hasn't arrived yet," Mr. Aizawa responded, sensing something amiss.

Back at the villains' rendezvous point, Dabi grew impatient. "I think Compress has been captured," he said. "We've been waiting a while, and he's still not back."

Spinner suggested, "Should we go back and attack again?"

"No," Dabi replied, "we're down too many members. We'll retreat with Ragdoll instead." As he spoke, Kurogiri opened a portal, and Dabi, Spinner, Twice, Magne, Toga, and a single chainsaw-wielding Nomu stepped through. The Nomu had captured Ragdoll earlier when Dabi took advantage of her focus on dodging the creature's attacks, allowing him to snatch her. Mandalay attempted to reach Ragdoll with her telepathic Quirk, but there was no response.
