Christopher and Isabel walked into Wilder Chemicals, arm in arm. Employees congratulated them on their wedding but Isabel didn't fail to notice the two girls who constantly cooed after Christopher, still had their gaze fixated on him when she was stood just beside. She made a mental note to deal with them later. Permanently.
Aiden's face told them he was surprised to find her at the office and she didn't try to hide her taunting smirk. She was there just to witness his falling face. The person who had dared to insult her love.
Foxen ushered them towards the cabin of the Managing Director, the employees of the floor following behind as their boss asked them to pay attention to an announcement.
“Meet Christopher Watson, your Managing Director from today.” - Foxen declared at once, a smile on his face. “We all know how hardworking and dedicated you are to your work so no lectures of sincerity here.” - he joked, making everyone chuckle. “Move forward and take your seat.”
The employees applauded enthusiastically as Christopher had been nice to everyone while being their colleague. If anyone was unhappy at the turn of events, it was only Aiden Wilder who had his jaws and fists clenched.
“Dad, a word please.” - Aiden said with forced patience and walked out of the cabin.
Foxen understood the tone of his son. “Okay now everyone back to their work.” - he ordered the employees before leaving as well.
“I'll be right back.” - Isabel said to Christopher before following after her father. She would not let Aiden change anything now.
Christopher inhaled a long breath, looking around the cabin. His face alight with smile. ‘Managing Director’. He traced the title bar on the table with his fingers. He was halfway succeeded already. Now, it was time to work for the other half.

“You had said he isn't interested in all this then what was all that ? How could you do that, Dad ?!” - Aiden asked as soon as Foxen walked into his cabin.
“He can because one, he is the boss.” - Isabel answered entering the cabin. “And two, that position was mine so I can do with it as I please.” - her tone was too sweet to be deemed sweet.
Aiden opened his mouth to say something but she wasn't done talking yet.
“And one more thing. You and Christopher hold equal status in the company so you calling him an employee would sound mightily funny now.”
He scoffed. “Christopher ? And my equal ? Nice joke. He can never be on the same level as me because he has been done charity while I am a rightful owner here.”
Isabel chuckled, her tone mocking. “Oh Aiden. Your arrogance will be your doom one day.” - she shook her head, pitying. “To add to your vast sea of knowledge, let me tell you that Christopher is now the owner of half of the company shares.”
“What ?!” - Aiden exclaimed, flabbergasted. He didn't believe her and turned to look at their father.
Foxen nodded in confirmation. “Yes. Bella has transferred her shares on Christopher's name.”
Aiden opened and closed his mouth several times, at a total loss of words.
Isabel smirked. “He is the authority now. Like you. It'd be better if you work in cooperation.”
“Cooperation ?” - Aiden sneered. “You guys are making a huge mistake! He would sweep off all the Wilder assets with none the wiser. That guy isn't safe-”
“Is safer than you at least.” - Isabel stopped him mid-sentence. “You, who was stealing from his own company and deceiving his own father.”
