After Isabel left, Christopher returned to his desk to work on the key points. An hour later, the meeting with the fertilizing agencies' heads took place which went smoothly and they agreed to sign the contract with Wilder Chemicals without visiting the factory.

“We are fully assured that your chemicals are cruelty free and would do no harm. After all, Wilder Chemicals is a brand of originality.” - the spokesperson from the agencies' heads buttered Foxen in the boardroom.

Christopher's fingers rolled into fists under the table. His jaws clenching. ‘Originality.’ - he sneered in his head and his brain took him back in memories again.

“I'll try my best but I don't think I'll be able to make it on time. You know I am working on a chemical in the lab. Foxen is also not around to assist as he called in sick for two days.” - Harold Jenson said while combing his son's hair.

“Dad... what kind of chemical is it that you've been working over since months and is still not finished ?” - 7 years old Chris whined cutely.

Harold laughed at his son. “It's been finished, Rizz. I'm just doing testing these days to gauge if it has any side effects. If I succeeded then you'll see innovation in the chemical industry. We'll be providing toxins free products to the market which will benefit both the public and us.”

Chris' forehead scrunched up. “How will it benefit us ?”

Harold engulfed Chris in arms tightly and made them rock on the chair. “We will start our company so naturally, will get benefit.”

“And will name it ‘Jenson Chemicals’!” - Chris announced, turning back in his father's lap to look at him with shining eyes.

“Done!” - Harold high fived Chris. “Now hurry up else we'd miss your school bus!”

They both quickly stood up. Chris doned his school bag on his back and stepped out of the house with Harold. The bus stop was at a walking distance and they were just in time as the conveyance arrived.

“If you don't see me at the school gate, take the bus and come straight to my lab. We'll go home from there, okay ?” - Harold instructed as Chris hopped on the bus.

“Okay Dad. Love you.” - Chris agreed, waving at Harold through the window.

“Your Dad loves you more, hun!”

“Christopher!”

Christopher jumped at Foxen's shout of his name, returning back to present. All the people in the boardroom were looking at him.

“Sorry, I- I got lost for a moment.” - Christopher apologized while blinking his eyes as he realized they were moist with tears. “What were you saying, Mr. Wilder ?”

Foxen looked unconvinced but let it go due to the audience. “I was saying that you'll handle this project personally and will make sure the quality is not compromised.”

Christopher plastered a smile on face. “Sure, sir. You need not worry.”

After that, the meeting ended. Foxen asked Christopher to stay back, as he had been expecting to.

“Is everything alright ? I have never seen you lost during a meeting.” - Foxen asked.

Christopher shook his head with a smile. “Everything's fine, Mr. Wilder. It's just the headache messing up with my mind since morning.”

Foxen offered a soft smile. “Go home and rest. It's nearly 6 anyways.”

Christopher stood from his seat, nodding. “Thank you.”
