The room was illuminated with lights as Christopher and Isabel stepped inside. Even though she had left everything messy behind, every thing was organized and in its rightful place now, thanks to the working staff. The only thing that was alien in the room and caught her eyes immediately was a hand sized rectangular gift box on the coffee table.

“I sent it here before leaving for the church and asked the staff to keep it in your room.” - Christopher answered her perplexed expressions.

She turned to him, a surprised smile coming over her face. “For me ?”

He smiled. “Why yes. Your wedding gift, Mrs. Watson.”

She grinned and bit her lip to contain her excitement. But her rushing towards the gift box in a flash gave her away. She took off the ribbon, unwrapped the box and was just about to open when he stopped her.

“Just a second..” - he said and switched off the lights of the room. “Now open.”

She did so and her breath caught in her throat. It was an eternal rose enclosed in a glass case, glowing with golden led lights.

There was something written on the gold plated stem. She held the glass closer and realized the words engraved on it.

Forever yours Christopher.

Tears stung her eyes. She turned to look at him in the glow of the glass. His eyes reflected the flicker mixed with unbound love. Soft but passionate.

Christopher raised his hand and wiped away the tear that had fallen from her right eye. “You are crying because I have outsmarted your wedding gift ?”

She chuckled at his tease, wiping the other tear away. “I am not. But you certainly have outsmarted my wedding gift for you.”

Although, he didn't know her gift as she was yet to present it to him, but she deemed his was superior because her gift was more like for the both of them — an infinity sign wall art with their names and wedding date — while his was solely for her. An eternal rose with a promise of eternity. She couldn't have asked more.

He grinned. They both moved towards a wooden wall shelf and she replaced the vase with the glass case.

“This is beautiful.” - she breathed, her eyes fixed on the engraved words.

“Not more than you.” - his warm breath on her ear made her shudder.

In a swift motion, his hands turned her around by the waist and pushed her against the wall beside the shelf. A quiet, breathy gasp escaped her mouth. He had realized that she looked more beautiful when the light was dim. That night in the car on the semi dark street and now in the room which was glowing only because of led light in the ceiling and the glass case above the shelf. And she was, once again, breathtaking.

“Did I tell you that you took my breath away at the first glimpse in the gown ?” - he whispered.

She shivered again. “Not with words...” - she replied, getting deja vu of the night in the club.
