Christopher was soaked in sweat as he returned from jog around 7 AM. Taking a sip from his half-emptied water bottle, he entered his room to find Isabel stepping out of the bathroom in a white bathrobe. Her freshly showered fragrance filled the room and wet hair left a trail of droplets on the floor behind her.
“Good morning!” - she cheerfully greeted, walking towards him.
“A good morning indeed.” - he said playfully, placing water bottle at the nearest table as he walked towards her and met her halfway. “Up so early ?”
“Waking up early and getting ready for someone for the past seven months has changed my habits.” - she replied grinning, her fingers subconsciously playing with the tassle of his hoodie.
He laughed. “Lucky lad.”
She chuckled. “I was thinking to have breakfast together but not at home. Somewhere out. What's say ?”
“I say perfect! You get ready till I have a quick shower and then we'll be good to go.” - he said, already unzipping his hoodie and taking it off him.
Her eyes racked over his chest, abs and shoulders before meeting his eyes again. His raised eyebrow caused her cheeks to redden.
“We would only catch lunch if you continued looking at me like that.”
She laughed and shoved him in the direction of the bathroom. He came back, stole a quick kiss off her lips before running to the bathroom. She shook her head, smiling all the while as she walked into the closet to get ready.

Half an hour later, Christopher was buttoning up the cufflinks of his black shirt when Isabel entered the room again. When he had stepped out of the bathroom, she was no where to be seen. Neither in the room nor in the closet.
“Where had you disappeared to ?” - he asked.
She frowned with a smile, shaking her head slightly. A sign of ‘nowhere important’.
“Had something to talk to Dad. Told him also that we are heading out and you'll reach office from there.” - she answered as she came to stop in front of him.
Her hands rose to set his collar. A soft and loving smile on her face. “Back to black ?” - she gently asked, her tone half teasing, half appraising.
He gave out a soft chuckle. “Yeah. Back to black.”
And he meant it. Not only in clothes, but he was back to his black self. His true self.
“That wedding outfit was an exception. For you.” - he said, his fingers untucking her hair tendrils from behind her ear. Letting them rest freely on her cheek.
Her smile softened further. “So Christopher Jose makes exceptions as well ?” - she teased again.
He smirked. Leaning closer, he whispered in her ear. “Only for his lady love.”
Her eyes fluttered shut, heart skipping several beats. And when he placed a featherlight kiss over her ear, she stopped breathing altogether. Her hand went to his bicep involuntarily, seeking support to remain steady on her feet as his words and affection were making her weak in the knees.
“Lucky her.” - she breathed, pulling back to look into his mesmerizing eyes. They were a bright blue now. Affected by the light coming through the window.
He graced her with a warm smile. “Shall we go now ? Otherwise, Dad will have my head if I am late for the office.”
She chuckled. “Yeah, let's go.”
