"Ariel, get up" I heard ma yell. I sat up, and sat back against the couch.
"I'm up" I said.
"Nah, get up, and go get in the shower" she said. I got up, and walked to my room.
I walked in, and Kayla was putting on a dress. Sometimes I look at that shit and wonder what the hell possessed me to put that type of stuff on.
I showered, washed my face, brushed my teeth and got dressed. I put on a White Button Down, True Religion jeans, and my White Timbs. I added my Signature Gold Chain, and a Gold Rolex. I straightened my hair, and slid on a all White SnapBack.
I walked downstairs and ma was doing Leah's hair, while Aunt Laysia was doing Talia's.
"We gotta be out of here in 20 minutes tops" Ma said. She tapped Leah letting her know she was done, and stood up.
I walked into the kitchen, and decided to eat cereal this morning; Honey Nut Cheerios to be exact.
We got to church, and I pulled Kayla aside before my family got to far ahead of us.
"What?" She asked.
"I got to ask you something" I said looking around.
"Okay" She said.
"I wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend?" I asked. Before she could answer somebody scoffed. We looked over and saw an elderly white couple shaking their heads.
"Y'all will be dead soon anyways" I said shrugging. I turned my attention back to Kayla who hugged me almost knocking me over.
"Bout time" She said.
"You still didn't answer my question" I said stale facing her.
"Yes" She said. "Now come on, cause I really don't want to get yelled at by your mother" she said pulling me into the sanctuary. We walked in and Tay popped out.
"Why?" I asked as we walked to where our family was.
"Being nosy, so y'all two together or what?" He asked. I nodded.
"And she told this old couple they were gonna die soon" Kayla said making Tay laugh. We sat behind my mom, and them, and I prepared myself for the nap I was getting ready to unintentionally take.
I started dozing off until the pastor, preacher, reverend, whatever he is, started talking about gay marriage. This nigga.
"I just don't understand the reason that makes these people think they can disobey God like this, and commit this type of sin" The pastor preached. I never bothered to learn his name honestly.
"The same reason that makes your wife think it's okay to cheat on you with the pastor down the street" I mumbled to myself.
"Ariel!" My mom whisper yelled. I looked up, and saw everyone looking at me. Oh shit.
"Sorry" I said. I wasn't sorry. Sorry my ass. Nigga need to be sorry he got a hoe for a daughter. He want to talk down about gay people but his son just married a nigga two weeks ago. He want to act all holy, but take $50 dollars from the offering every week.
"Ariel" I came out my trance and saw everyone still staring.
"What did I do now?" I asked.
"You just called the reverend and his family out" Kayla whispered.
I looked at my family and saw everyone but my mom trying not to laugh. Ma was burning a hole in my face, I'm in trouble for real.
We got to grandma's house to eat dinner. Ma snatched me up and took me to dad's old room. She closed the door and looked at me.
