"I know ma" I said once again. She gives me the same rules when she drops me off at one of my female friend's houses.

"I'm just saying, I know you, and I better not have nobody's mama calling me cause you did something they didn't like" She said. "And you know what I mean"

"I know" I said laughing.

"Aight, call me later" She said. I got out and grabbed my bag. I threw it over my shoulder and walked up the stairs to Haven's apartment. I knocked and waited.

"Hold on" I heard her say. A few seconds later the door opened. "Hey Ariel" She said opening it wider and letting me in. I waved to my mom before doing so.

I sat my stuff on the couch, and plopped on it. Haven closed and locked the door and came and sat beside me.

"What you been up to?" I asked.

"Homework, sleeping, eating" She said. I nodded. "I was gonna take a nap before you came since I wasn't paying attention to the time, and didn't realize you would be here soon"

"You got some food, I'm hungry" I said getting up. I walked into her kitchen and looked in her fridge. I found some cereal bars and grabbed a Cinnamon Toast Crunch one.

"Just eat my food" She said mugging me.

"I mean, if you got something else to offer then I'll gladly accept it, if it's coming from you" I said smirking at her.

"Really Ariel?" She asked laughing.

"I'm just saying" I said shrugging.

"Yeah, probably said that to half the girls at school, you aren't slick" She said walking out. I shrugged. We can chill or we can fuck, either way, I'm cool.

I grabbed a caprisun and a bag of fruit snacks to add with my cereal bar. I walked back into the living room and sat beside Haven.

"I'm hungry" She said looking at me.

"You say something now?" I asked. She nodded and I shrugged.

"That sounds like a personal problem then" I said getting comfortable and laying on her lap.

"We're gonna watch Criminal Minds" She said. "They have a new season out" she added before going to A&E.

I picked Leah up from mama's house, and was headed to the nail salon. I was meeting Ayla and the twins there.

Lonte called and I answered.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey, where you at?" He asked.

"Meeting Ayla and the girls at the nail salon, what about you?" I responded.

"Taking the boys to the shooting range, then dropping off Tay at the house, so he can get ready for him and Geo's date, after that, A.J. And I are gonna head over to Quan's place" He said.

"Okay, be back home by 8, cause that's when dinner should be ready" I said turning into the salon's parking lot.

"Aight" He said. "And I gotta talk to you about something later too" He added.

"Okay" I said getting out, grabbing Leah's hand, and closing and locking the doors.

"Bye" He said. I looked at the phone, then put it back to my ear. 

"Nigga you better come correct" I said as Leah and I walked up to the doors. I let her in, and followed behind.

"I'm just messing with you, I love you" He said laughing. His ass won't be laughing when he's the only one not eating.
