"Ma, that's a lot of work" I say looking at the loads of furniture, wall decor, and housing utensils that were in our living room.

"I'm sending some dudes over there shortly to help you arrange and all that" She says. "How's school going?"

"Good, not as bad as I thought it'd be" I answer. "I mean it's stressful but nothing I can't handle"

"Be careful, cause once my lil baby gets here it's gonna be a lot harder" She says. I mentally groan and sit on the beanbag chair in Geo and I's room.

"Once the baby comes, I'm gonna call you multiple times a day" I say.

"Okay, but if ion answer don't get upset" She says laughing. I silently mug her and sit back. "Don't worry, you'll be fine and 9 times outta 10 I'll answer your call"

"Thank you" I say smiling.

"So can you come?" I ask Ciara referring to the back to school party Ariel and I were hosting. Dad got us a venue about 20 minutes away, and thanks to his "friends" we got it for the night.

"I'll ask but I can't promise you anything" She says. "But if I can't go, you better not have no other bitches near you or I'm gone pop up and beat your ass"

"I won't" I say smirking.

"Where's Leah?" She asks. I shrug.

"Probably out with my mom" I say. My mom takes us out for our own day to just chill and shop.

"Well call me when she gets home" She says.

"Fine" I say. She blows me a kiss then hangs up.

I slide my phone in my pocket and head downstairs. "You got the list of food and equipment?" I ask Ariel as I sit next to her on the couch.

"Yeah" She says blankly. I continue to ask her questions and all answers are dull and dry.

"What's wrong?" I ask. She's been good this whole time now it's like she's just dead inside.

"I think Haven and I's breakup is finally getting to me" She says lowly. "And I don't know what to do cause you know I ain't the type to stress over no bitch"

"What's bothering you?" I ask.

"I don't know, but me and Nelle doing good I think even though we aren't together, which is even better" She says.

"What you mean you think?" I ask.

"She was being real shady yesterday and I'm gonna find out why today" She says. She gets up, grabs her car keys, then walks out.

Ariel

I pull up to Nelle's house and see her sitting on the porch. I get out and lean on the passenger side of my car.

"Waiting for somebody?" I ask.

"No" She says quickly.

"I came to get you to hang out before the party tonight" I say opening the passenger side door.

"I-I'm not dressed" She says. I look at her before looking at her outfit. She has on a White tank top, my Black and Red Polo hoodie, jeans, and a pair of sandals.

"You look dressed to me, come on" I say rolling my eyes. She sits there before getting up. She gets in and I close her door. I get in on my side and I pull out her driveway heading to the park.

We get out and she keeps typing away at her phone. I didn't mind at first but now it's getting annoying. I snatch it and put it in my pocket. "Give me my phone back" She says trying to reach in my pocket. I move her hand as we continue walking.
