A.J

"I'm on my way" I say as I answer Ariel's call.

"Aight" She says hanging up.

I toss on my Black Nike Jumpsuit and slide on my White High top Forces. I grab my phone and see it's almost 8:30. "Shit" I mumble. I put some random hair products in my hair and use my sponge to mix it in.

I grab my phone and shit and run out making sure to lock the door.

I get to Mia's apartment and knock on the door. "Bout time" Ariel says opening the door.

My face goes straight when I notice she isn't even dressed. "Shut up cause you ain't even ready" I say walking in and closing and locking the door.

"I'm almost ready, give me 15 minutes" She says walking down the hall. I roll my eyes and walk into the living room. I look at the tv as I get ready to sit until somebody hits me.

"Aye baby boy, watch where you sitting before you sit" Some girl says. Damn she is fine.

"My bad" I say standing all the way up. I lick my lips and watch her scoot over a few times. I sit down and hold my hand out. "I'm A.J" I add introducing myself.

"Charisma" She says shaking my hand. "Ariel's brother, right?" She asks. 

I nod. "Yeah that's me, Mia didn't tell me she had another sister or best friend" I say looking confused.

"I'm not either" She says giving a small laugh. "I'm her photographer and wardrobe stylist" She adds. "I had a incident with my ex last night and this was the first place that came to mind"

"You good?" I ask. She starts talking but my focus is on the red marks on her neck. "Did somebody put they hands on you?" I ask.

"Long story, I'm okay" She says pulling the strings on her hoodie to hide the marks.

"That does-" I start only to get cut off.

"Come on boy, I gotta get some to eat" Ariel says grabbing her wallet of the bar.

"Here I come" I say as she dashes out the door. I stand up and look at Charisma. "Tell Mia to give you my number, call me" I say smiling at her. "I wanna take you out"

"That would be great but don't you have a girlfriend?" She asks. My smile drops and I roll my eyes.

"We can hang out, as friends" I say smirking at her. "Don't worry, just a bite to eat and a trip to the arcade or some" I add.

"Okay, that's it" She says blushing.

I turn to head out making sure to tell Mia and Ty bye in the process.

We get to the hospital and I let Ariel go in first for a lil bit. My mind wonders to Charisma then to Ciara. I'm not the one to cheat but Charisma caught my eye for real which is hard to do.

"Wassup A.J" Mila's dad says walking in and sitting next to me.

"Nothing, I let Ariel go talk to her first" I say. He nods.

"Her mom nor sister has came by yet, only Ariel and you guys parents" He says shaking his head. "That's the only person I got and I wouldn't be able to live if she left me" he adds.

"She gone make it, ain't no doubt about it" I say patting his back. "Ariel gone threaten her and everything else, she ain't leaving without a fight" I add making him laugh a bit.

"You right, your sister is special" He says.  "She paid for all the small things so Mia would be prepared for school, got her a car and a place to say and it still amazes me" He adds.
