"𝐒𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐃𝐎?" 𝑎𝑛𝑢𝑙𝑖 𝑚𝑢𝑚𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑑 looking around the gym with raised eyebrows.
jay only nodded his head dribbling the basketball between his legs as he walked over to the bleachers.
"how was school?" she asked sitting down and pulling her hoodie closer to her body.
after lili and jay both got suspended lili was unenrolled from the school and transferred to online while jay just went back.
he only did it because he still had basketball and after talking with lili he was considering taking it all the way. well at least to college.
he hadn't told anyone yet, not even lili, because he didn't know if he was foreal gonna do it.
he didn't want to get her hopes up then pull out at last second. that wasn't fair to her.
"it was coo, that shit is not the same without you tho" he muttered shrugging his shoulders and putting his backpack down on the bleachers next to her.
lili laughed and shook her head already knowing what he was talking about. the school was a mess, teachers didn't care enough for students and the staff didn't get paid enough to care either.
the only person who cared was lili and she was the one keeping the school in order.
"i can really miss a good portion of this year tho, they told me i was clear of truancy" he said, tying his hair into a ponytail to keep it out his face.
"i don't think you should, enjoy what you have left" she shook her head putting her hands in her sweater pockets, "you never know when you might not have it anymore"
jay bit his bottom lip and nodded his head picking the basketball up again and dribbling, "what made you so wise?" he smiled tilting his head at her in a teasing way.
