Y/N had spent the entire day thinking. After the small moment with Taehyung last night, something had shifted inside her. She wasn't one to admit it easily, but deep down, she knew Taehyung wasn't the villain she'd made him out to be. He was trying, more than she had realized, and it hit her harder than she expected. Maybe it was time she tried too.

As the evening approached, Y/N paced back and forth in the living room, her thoughts racing. How do I even start this? She had never been the type to apologize, especially not for pushing people away. But this was different. She wanted to try, for the sake of her parents, for Taehyung's parents, and maybe, just a little, for herself.

She finally made up her mind and headed toward Taehyung's study. The door was slightly ajar, and she could see him sitting at his desk, deeply focused on some papers. For a moment, she hesitated, her nerves getting the better of her. But then she took a deep breath and knocked lightly on the door.

Taehyung looked up, surprised to see her standing there. "Y/N? Everything okay?"

Y/N bit her lip, unsure of how to start. "Can we talk?" she asked, her voice softer than usual.

Taehyung nodded, setting his papers aside. "Of course."

She walked into the room, sitting down across from him, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her sleeve. "I've been thinking," she began slowly, struggling to find the right words. "About us. About this marriage."

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, leaning forward slightly, listening intently.

"I know I've been... difficult," Y/N continued, her voice almost a whisper now. "But I've realized something. You're trying, more than I've given you credit for. And I've been too stubborn to see that."

Taehyung stayed quiet, his gaze fixed on her, waiting for her to finish.

"I want to give this a real shot," she said, her heart racing as the words left her mouth. "I don't want to keep fighting this anymore. I think... I think we could make this work if we both try."

Taehyung's eyes softened, and for the first time, Y/N saw a flicker of hope in them. He leaned back in his chair, exhaling quietly. "I didn't expect to hear that," he admitted. "But I'm glad you're willing to try."

There was a pause, and then Y/N did something she never thought she'd do-she apologized.

"And I'm sorry," she said, her voice steady but low. "For being so difficult. For pushing you away. I know this isn't easy for you either, and I... I haven't been fair."

Taehyung blinked, clearly taken aback by her words. Of all the things he expected, an apology was not one of them. He had seen Y/N's tough exterior, her walls built high, and he never thought he'd hear her apologize-especially to him.

He smiled faintly, shaking his head. "You don't have to apologize, Y/N. I understand. This isn't exactly what either of us wanted."

"But still," she insisted, her voice firm. "I was wrong. And I'm trying to do better."

Taehyung nodded, his gaze softening even more. "Thank you," he said quietly. "That means a lot."

They sat in silence for a moment, both of them processing the shift that had just occurred. It was small, but it was a start.

"I'll try too," Taehyung added. "I want this to work just as much as you do. I know how important this is for our families, and I don't want either of us to be miserable."

Y/N nodded, feeling a small sense of relief wash over her. For the first time, they were on the same page. There were still a lot of unknowns, but at least they had both decided to try.
