The morning sun streamed through the curtains, casting a warm golden light across the room. Y/N stirred awake, stretching out her limbs as she blinked against the brightness. It took her a moment to remember where she was, but as she turned her head, the familiar sight of Taehyung peacefully sleeping beside her brought a smile to her face.
He looked so serene, his dark hair tousled and falling over his forehead. Y/N couldn't help but admire how handsome he looked even in his sleep. There was a certain vulnerability about him that made her heart flutter-something she hadn't expected to feel, especially not so soon after their wedding.
Deciding not to wake him just yet, she quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb him. Y/N made her way to the kitchen, the soft sound of her footsteps echoing in the silence of the house. As she began to prepare breakfast, she couldn't shake the feeling of excitement bubbling within her. It was still a new world for them, but today felt different; it felt hopeful.
After whipping up some eggs and toast, Y/N poured two cups of coffee, adding a splash of cream to hers just the way she liked it. She smiled to herself, enjoying the domesticity of the moment. Maybe she could get used to this.
As she carried the plates and cups back to the bedroom, she found Taehyung awake, propped up against the headboard, looking drowsy yet undeniably charming. He rubbed his eyes and smiled at her, his expression brightening the room even more than the morning light.
"Good morning," he said, his voice still husky from sleep.
"Good morning!" Y/N replied cheerfully, placing the breakfast tray on her lap as she sat beside him. "I hope you're hungry because I made breakfast."
"Wow, you cooked? I'm impressed," he said, his eyes sparkling with genuine delight. "What did you make?"
"Just some eggs and toast. And coffee, of course," she said, handing him a cup. Their fingers brushed against each other, and a little spark of electricity shot through her at the contact.
"Looks perfect," Taehyung said, taking a sip of the coffee. His eyes widened slightly in surprise. "Wow, this is really good! You should cook for me more often."
Y/N laughed, feeling a warmth spread through her at his praise. "I might take you up on that if you promise to do the dishes afterward."
"Deal," he replied, grinning as he took another sip. They both settled into a comfortable silence, enjoying their breakfast and the easy conversation that flowed between them.
"So, how does it feel to be married to your professor?" Taehyung teased, his eyes twinkling.
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully, but a smile tugged at her lips. "It feels a bit like a prank gone wrong, honestly," she joked back, but there was a warmth in her tone that underscored the growing affection between them.
"Well, just know that I might assign some extra homework for you," he said with a mock-serious expression, causing Y/N to burst into laughter.
"Please, no! I've had enough of that already!" she retorted, shaking her head dramatically.
As they continued to eat, the playful banter turned into deeper conversation about their lives, their dreams, and their hopes for the future. Each exchange felt more meaningful than the last, as if they were slowly stitching their lives together with threads of shared experiences.
When they finished breakfast, Taehyung leaned back against the headboard, looking over at Y/N with a newfound softness in his gaze. "I didn't expect this morning to feel so... nice," he admitted, his voice sincere.
