"It's okay. Just go up to him and ask. You never know what he will say. Maybe he will ultimately say yes." I tell myself. "Okay. I got this. Breathe." I walk up to my crush. I have been asking him consistently if he wanted to date me but he kept saying no. He had just gotten out of a relationship where this girl wasn't so good to him.
"Hey Terrell. I want to ask you something."
"What's up?" God! I'm so nervous. What if he says no. I can't handle anymore rejection from him. I like him too much. Am I too pushy? Am I doing too much? All of our friends knew what I was about to ask. They were all gathered around us.
"Well as I'm sure you know, Valentine's Day is next Thursday. I was kinda wondering if you would be my Valentine?" Oh no. Why did I just ask that? "Bre, he doesn't want you. Stop pushing it." I think to myself.
"Sure." Terrell responded.
"...Okay... WAIT WHAT?!"
"I said I'll be your Valentine." Terrell smiles. Oh lord. That smile.
"Okay. Great."
That went better than I expected. Terrell, the boy I have been crushing in, is now my Valentine. That is something I did not expect. It's a start though. I'm so happy right now. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. My palms are sweaty. My heart is pounding. I did it AND he gave me the final response I have been wanting so badly. "This might just be it." I think to myself.
I'm so so so sorry these chapters are so short. This is my first book and I wasn't even thinking about the length of it. It is a good book though really. Again! I'm do sorry! ❤️
