Part 34: Recon

(Diego drives the rest of the night until they finally make it to New Grumpson. A little bit past the sign everyone gets out and stretches their legs. Snow is sprinkled all over the ground and the air is crisp making most of the Hargreeves curl into their jackets as Five goes to check the phonebook in an old phone booth that was on the side of the road. Ben glances around, his eyes landing on Y/n who is still wearing a t-shirt and jeans but doesn't seem to be effected by the weather.) 

Ben: Shouldn't you have a jacket? 

Y/n: (snarky) Shouldn't you have a brain? 

(Diego Laughs, while the rest of the academy snickers as Diego gives Y/n a high five)

Diego: Good one. 

(Y/n looks back at Ben who is still looking at her confused.) 

Y/n: My original power was fire. The main thing that gives off warmth. I think I know how to regulate my body tempeture. 

Five: No Sy Grossman listed. No Jennifer Grossman either. 

(Five emerges from the phone booth to stand next to Y/n again, grabbing her hand.)

Allison: Well, We'll have a look around. If she's here, we'll find her.

Ben: This is why you do recon, assholes. 

Viktor: Recon? Why are you saying "recon"? We're not the A-team. 

Ben: Oh really? Shit. You fooled me. 

Diego: At least er still have a team. 

Y/n: Diego. 

Ben: What the hell is that supposed to mean? 

Diego: (looks over at Y/n) Can you zap him? 

Y/n: With pleasure. 

(Y/n creates small electircal sparks in her hand ans throws them at Ben causing him to jerk alittle bit because of the electricity.)

Luther: Okay, Everybody. Look over here and smile!

Allison: What? 

(Everyone looks over at Luther who has a camera in his hand and is aiming it at the group causing both Viktor and Allison to groan in protest. Diego wraps his arm around Ben and Y/n rests her head on Five's shoulder.)

Luther: Smile! 

(The camera clicks as Lila covers her face, Allison looks away and Ben wears a mocking smile.) 

Ben: You know what? Screw this! You know, one or two of you are fine, but all of you together? You're a bunch of drooling stunted toddlers. I'm going back to my penthouse downtown. 

(He starts to walk further into town and away from the rest of the group.)

Luther: Ben, that penthouse belongs to the federal government now. 

Ben: Shut the hell up, Luther. 

Luther: Alright. 

(As Ben is walking away one of his tentacles slips out of his jacket causing the rest of the family to snicker and laugh.) 

Klaus: Aw, poor Ben-arino. 

Diego: We're better off without him! 

(Diego yells from behind the truck.)

Viktor: He's right.
