Queen of the elements (Book 4 of The Fire Within)

Part 39: Subway

(Five randomly blinked him and Y/n to a dark and dirty looking subway station.)

Five: Diego! 

Y/n: Shit! I see what you mean by random subway station. What is this place?

Five: I don't know. 

Y/n: How do we get back?

Five: I don't know that either. 

Y/n: Damn. This place is really creepy. 

(The lights dim and the place looked decerted. The walls had random writing on it that looked to be a letters from a language that neither of them recognized. Five walked further into the station and walked down a flight of stairs, followed by Y/n. They found 2 rows of columns in a long hallway with a track to the left. On of the columns closest to the track was glowing with what looked like a orange map of the tunnels.)

Five: Do you think it still works? 

Y/n: In any normal situation I would say no, but this sure as hell isn't normal. 

(As they both stand by the side of the track, the PA system goes off with a warped voice and a train starts to come down the tracks, stopping Infront of them and the doors open. The PA stops and Y/n goes to step onto the train, but Five grabs her arm.)

Five: Are you sure this is a good idea? 

Y/n: No, but what's life without a little risk. 

(Y/n squeazes Five's hand and walks onto the train, with him following. Five grabs onto the railing as Y/n took in her surroundings. The train looked like any normal subway train but with more righting that she couldn't understand. The doors closed and the train started to move forward. The train entered a tunnel and for no more than a second the tunnel walls started to crack and glow gold before going back to normal.)

Y/n: Well that's interesting.
