Chapter 4

I told Ross I'd help him make it up to Courtney. I have no idea what to do!
The only thing I can think of is to have him write her a song....

THATS PERFECT!!

"Hey Ross?" I asked while turning to him.

"Yeah?"

"How about you write her a song." I say and he looks at me unsure of himself.

"Sorry that's a dumb idea." I say while looking away.

He stood up. "Laura that's genius!" He says while smiling.

"Alright! Well my work here is done. Why don't you text me later and tell me how it's going, okay?" I say while getting up and walking towards the door.

"Oh no you don't." Ross says while grabbing my wrist. "Stay and help me."

"You really want me to help you?"

"It was your idea and you told me you like to write songs. Can you please help me?" He begs. OMG THOSE PUPPY DOG EYES!!!!!!

"Fine." I say while giving in.

"Thank you!" He says and gives me a hug. I get this weird feeling. I feel warm and protected.... I quickly shake it off and face Ross. "So, take me to where you write your songs." He nods and brings me upstairs to this big music room. It's full of guitars and keyboards and something that really caught my attention.... A grand piano!

"Wow." I breathe out.

"It's nice isn't it?" He asks.

"It's amazing! All I have is a small brown piano in my room." (Like the old one they had in Sonic Boom!)

Ross just smiles and we sit down at the piano.

"So, have any ideas?" I ask him.

"Actually I do." He smiles and plays a few cords.

'As broken as we seem, we give up our heart that's shot in the dark' He sings.

"That's good Ross! Can I add?" I ask.

"Of course." He smiles and he plays the cords again.

'There's something about you I'm drawn to but there's nothing I can do

I know you got away...'  I end and he smiles then he starts to sing.

'All my time time is consuming your face

I tell my self that this feeling will fade

I know and I know and I know that it won't.'
.............

'Nah nah nah, nah nah nah....' We sing in unison. We just finished a song and I titled it 'I Know You Got Away'

"Rossome!" I say and he chuckles.

"Really?" He asks.

"Sorry. I got carried away. But I've never written a song with somebody famous before!" I exclaim and he smiles.

"Yeah. Sometimes I wish I was a normal boy." He says while looking down.

"Well, normal is boring!" I exclaim and he chuckles.

"Anyway I better get going. Text me later and let you know if the song worked." I stand up but he pulls me back down.

•Ross•
"Laura, I don't know what to do next." I say while examining her face. I've never seen eyes that shimmer as much as hers.

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"Well, do I take her on a date? Do I beg her to come to the house!?"

Laura giggles. "Wow. Surly not the romantic type."

"Yeah yeah. I'm a hopeless romantic."

"How about you buy her a rose then sing to her? Like you show up at her front door, sing the song, then ask 'Will you forgive me by accepting this rose?'" She says. That's a great idea!!

"Wow Laura. Deep!" I say and we laugh. "So, anything else?" She asks and I shake my head while laughing.

"Now you can go." I say and she nods.

I walk her to the front door. "Thank you so much for helping me Laura. You'll be the first person I go to for help." I say.

"Your welcome Ross. We should hang out sometime." She said and I nod.

"Of course." I smile and she smiles back. She's got a nice smile, I'll admit that.

"Bye Ross." She waves and walks to her car.

"Bye. Text me!" She smiles

She's cute.

I'm sorry it's short and kind of boring but I'm still a little iffy on the hate. And I'm sorry that updates won't be as frequent as my latest book.
