"Home?" I ask while Riker is smiling like an idiot.

"Laura, our road trip. We're going to Littleton, Colorado." Ross says. "Can you tell me how long it would be before we arrive?" Ross adds.

"Well, to here from Littleton it should be about..... A little over a thousand miles." I say. Ellington raises his eyebrows. "Impressive Laura."

"Not to brag but I aced the geography unit." I say. Ross chucked and Vanessa rolls her eyes. "Please you aced everything. Your lowest test grade was like a 92." She said.

"And this wired red head said he was smarter than me because he got a 94."

Ross laughed. "Nobody's smarter than you." I shook my head. "What about Einstein?" Ross smiled. "Your almost there."

"So it would take about 14 hours to get there if we drive straight through." Riker said.

"Well me and Ell will go pack. When do we plan on leaving?" Rydel asks.

"Well I'd like to get down there before it gets too cold. Maybe in a couple of days." Ross said. Rydel nodded and dragged Ellington out of the room.

"Have you even talked to mom and dad yet?" Riker asked.

"I don't want to sound rude but you guys are older than 18. Do you really need their permission?" Vanessa asks.

Geez she's stupid. I thought.

"I at least want them to know where we're going." Ross said.

"And what exactly are we going to tell mom and dad? We'll be like, hey guys were going to Colorado with our boyfriends!" I exclaimed.

"Actually no need to worry about that. Mom and dad went to Montana for moms new fashion line. They won't be back until the end of the month." Vanessa said.

My mom has a job where she has to travel. She's usually gone for no longer than a month and she don't have to leave the United States. My mom is a clothing designer. She likes to have my dad come. Why? I don't know and don't want to know.

I feel my phone buzz in my pocket and I see it's from a different number.

"I'll be right back." I say. I go across the hall into the bathroom and shut the door.

I open the message and it reads;
- Vanessa Marano. This is Paul Stupin, the producer from 'Switched At Birth'. We are very thrilled to inform you that you have landed the roll of Bay! The only catch is that the shooting takes place in Sacramento and we know you live in Los Angeles. So you will have to move. We understand if you are unable to move and can't play Bay. Please let us know by the end of this week.

This is good and bad. I can live my dream as an actress! But I have to move 5 hours away.

What the hell am I going to do?!

I run in Ross's room and drag Laura away from Ross's grip.

"I'll bring her right back!" I yell to Ross.

"You better!" He yells back.

I run into the bathroom and lock the door.

"What is the matter!?" She whisper shouts.

"I need your help." I say out of breath. She moves her head motioning me to continue.

"Remember how I went to that audition?" I asks and she nods. "Well I got roll." I say.

"Vanessa that's amazing!" She exclaims.

"I know. But I have to move to Sacramento including to be on the show."

Her smile slightly drops. "Does that mean that we all have to move?" She asks.

"I wouldn't do that to you. You just started dating Ross a couple of weeks ago and I don't want to break you guys up." I say. Laura comes and hugs me. "That's really sweet." She says and I smile.

"But that means I would have to leave Riker. I'd be 5 hours away! We'd barely see each other."

"Well you guys love each other. I think you'd be able to move and not break up. But, I think you should talk to him about it." She says.

"So you think I should go?" I ask.

"Yes! This is your dream. You only live once right?" I chuckle at my sister. "I'll go get Riker." She walks out and I sigh.

I don't know what I'm going to do. And more importantly, how will Riker react?
