"Hey." Ross says as he comes back into my room. "The rest of my family just got here. Are you ready?" He asks.

I sigh. "I guess so." Ross slightly smiles and sits next to me. "Remember, I'll be right next to you the entire time." He assures me.

"I'm doing this for Vanessa. And you'll be right there." I say while getting a little nervous. He smiles and reaches out his hand. "Let's do this."

As we walk into the living room, I see Rydellington and Rocky on one couch. Then mine and Ross's parents on another. Riker and Vanessa are sitting in front of the couch that our parents on. Then there's Ryland who's sprawled out on the living room floor.

Ross let's go of my hand and goes into the kitchen. He comes back with two dining room table chairs. I was about to ask him to bring me a go-gurt.

"Okay Vanessa." I say and look at my sister. "Since your about to go live your dream I thought it would be nice to, create something to keep us connected. So I wrote a song, about us. And featuring Ross on the guitar." I say while facing Ross. He looks at me and smiles.

"You've got this." He says. I take a deep breath and Ross begins to play the guitar.

As soon as I finish, I hear clapping. Everyone looking at me in amazement. Ross sets down his guitar and pulls me into a hug.

"You did awesome babe." He says while kissing my cheek. "I'm glad you were right there with me." I say. "Always." He responds.

Vanessa comes running up. She pulls me out of the chair and hugs me. "Laura that was beautiful. Thank you so much." She says.

"Of course. Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly." I say, quoting a line from my song.

"Okay everyone." I turn around to see my dad getting ready to say something.
"As you all know, Laura planned this going away party for Vanessa. So I have made Vanessa's favorite meal along with Ellen's famous lemon lush." My dad finishes.

"LEMON LUSH!!" We hear Rocky yell as he runs into the kitchen. I see Stormie roll her eyes and she walks into the kitchen.

"Well sis, thank you so much for everything. The song, the party, having dad make my favorite meal." She says and I smile at her words.

"Anything for you. Now go enjoy." I say

She smiles and nods. Once I see her walk into the kitchen, I turn to Ross who is standing right behind me.

"I'm so proud of you." He says while draping an arm around my shoulder.

"Thank you. Come on, let's go outback. Get a glimpse of the moonlight reflection on the pool." I say.

Before Laura and I went outback, she went to put her phone on the charger while I grabbed us each a piece of lemon lush.

"Thank you." She says while sitting next to me, our feet dangling in the pool.

"No problem." I say. "No." She says. "I mean, thank you for being there. Helping me get over Andrew, writing this song with me, giving me support. Just, thank you for being you. My boyfriend."

My smile beams as I hear her say that. "That means a lot to me Laura." I say. "And I meant every word." She says. Then she quickly leans in and kisses me. I smile and kiss back, with just as much meaning and passion.

She pulls away and I lean my forehead against hers. Then I start laughing.

"What?" She asks.

"Oh, something just came to me." I say and she furrows her eyebrows.

"The day at the zoo." I say and begin laughing again.

"Ugh." She groans and begins to stand up. Before she stands on both feet, I push her into the pool.

She gasps as she arose to the surface. "Your the worst." She grumbled.

"Hey I'm not as bad as that goat." I say while reaching over to grab my phone.

Then next thing I know, I'm drenched. Laura pulled me into the pool.

"Really now?" I say as I splash her. She giggles. We start to have a splash fight.

Having a splash fight with your girlfriend. Can tonight get any better?
