Chapter 19

Previously on 'Life of a Popstar',

"Yes! This is your dream. You only live once right?" I chuckle at my sister. "I'll go get Riker." She walks out and I sigh.

I don't know what I'm going to do. And more importantly, how will Riker react?

•Riker•
I was taking to Ross about our upcoming road trip until Laura came and told me Vanessa needed to talk to me. I walked into the bathroom and see Vanessa sitting on the sink.

"You needed to talk to me?" I say.

"Umm..Yeah. Remember how you took me to that audition for ABC Family?"  She asks and I nod. "Well I got the part." She says. "Ness that's amazing!" I say but I noticed she wasn't excited about it. 

"Why aren't you happy?" I ask.

"No I am! It's just that.." She stops. I walk over and hop onto the sink next to her. "What is it? You can tell me."

She sighs. "Riker, including to be on the show. I have to move, to Sacramento."

"What about us? Sacramento is like five hours away. We wouldn't really see each other." I say.

"That's the thing. I really want this part but I don't want to loose you." She says.

"Well, this is your dream. I don't want to be the one in your way. I think you should go." I admit.

Her eyes widen. "But, us? How will we make this work?"

Then something popped up in my head. "Marry me."

"What?" She gasps.

I didn't mean to say that out loud...

"Riker, I- I don't know what to say." She says.

I sigh. "I'm so sorry. I don't mean to say that. But now that I've said it out loud, it has me thinking. We could move to Sacramento together! We can move there and start a life together. That way, you'll be on the show and we don't have to worry about us."

She intertwines our hands. "Can I please think about it?"

"Of course. I'll call you later. I have to go to the studio and pick up my new base."

"Okay." She says. "I love you." She kisses my cheek. "Love you too."

I walk to my room as she walks out the door.

I can't believe I just asked Vanessa to marry me.

•Laura•
"So what did Vanessa want?" Ross asks while stroking my hair.

"Well, she got the role for that TV show she auditioned for." I say.

"That's great!" Ross said.

"But she has to move to Sacramento including to be on the show." I continue.

"That sucks." Ross says. "At least your not going anywhere right?" He asks.  

I giggle. "Nope."

"Good." He says while kissing my cheek.

These was a little moment of silence. The only noise you heard was hearing his fingers playing with my hair.

"So.." I say breaking the silence. "About the road trip, why are we going to Colorado?"

"I figured you can see where I originally came from. I could show you the hockey stadium we would play at." 

Then I remembered the first time I came to Ross's house, there was a jersey hanging on the wall and it said 'Lynch 3'

"So the jersey hanging in the living room is a hockey jersey?" I ask.

"Yup. It was Rocky's. Mine and Riker's got lost when we were moving to L.A." He says.

"Aw I'm sorry." I say.

"It's cool. At least we have Rocky's." He said.

I get up from his bed and walk to the door. "I'm gonna go see how Vanessa is. I'll be right back." I say and he blows me a kiss. As I turn to open the door, it bursts open. Scaring me and making me fall back into Ross's bed.

"Oh my god Laura, you okay?" He says while trying not to laugh.

"I have a problem!" Riker says.

"What is it?" I ask while standing back up.

"I just asked your sister to marry me!"
