Jennie couldn't sleep.

All night long, she tossed and turned in bed, uncertain and thoughtful. The events that had happened in Jisoo's office the day before kept running through her mind. The dark circles under her eyes were clear from the night of lost sleep. Someone had seen her and Jisoo in that office, someone had found out about their relationship. And if this got back to Mr. Kim, things could get very complicated. She looked at the clock with the same expression she had since she found it. As Jisoo had said, it was a very ordinary clock, so it could have been anyone. However, Jennie remembered where she had seen it before. She remembered perfectly when she and Chaeyoung had that conversation in the café, and seeing the girl with the clock. Of course, this didn't prove anything, but it was something.

And as if fate wanted to confirm her deduction, Jennie saw the girl getting off the bus stop. But she didn't have much time to question her about anything, when she noticed the cyclist heading towards her. She was so distracted that she hadn't noticed yet. Jennie threw her bag on the ground and ran to Chaeyoung, pulling her by the arm, and accidentally knocking the girl to the ground. The boy on the bike ended up losing control, and falling on top of Jennie too.

— There — the boy groaned, when Jennie roughly pushed him off of her. — Shit, sorry, are you guys okay? — he asked desperately, standing up and taking off his helmet. He was wearing a school uniform, and carrying a backpack.

— Shit, my clothes — Jennie said desperately when she noticed her pants were dirty with dirt. It was nothing new for her to get dirty or have a ruined outfit when Chaeyoung was around. A walking disaster in every sense. — You should pay more attention to where you're walking, you almost ran her over — Jennie pointed at Chaeyoung, who also got up with difficulty and didn't seem to know what had happened.

— I'm sorry, I lost control of the bike. Those idiots are cold — the boy exclaimed angrily, lifting the bike off the ground. — Are you okay? — he asked Chaeyoung.

— Y—Yeah, don’t worry — she hissed nervously. Jennie rolled her eyes. Of course she wasn’t okay, she could see her skinned knee.

— In that case, I'll go, otherwise I'll be even later for school — he said, putting on his helmet once more. — Sorry again — the boy waved, leaving with his bike.

— Why did you say everything was okay? Look at your knee — Jennie said, turning to Chaeyoung.

“It was no big deal,” she shrugged. “Besides, he was just a kid. It was an accident, I don’t think I should worry him over something so silly.”

— How can you put yourself in such danger so early in the day? — Jennie asked indignantly. Chaeyoung laughed.

— You must agree that this time it wasn't my fault. He was coming at high speed towards me.

— And if you weren't so distracted you probably would have noticed, if I hadn't pulled you he would have run you over.

— Yes, and thank you very much for that — Chaeyoung thanked with a bow.

“Whatever,” Jennie sighed. “Come on, let’s go upstairs and fix that knee, or it might get infected if you don’t treat it.”

— Don't worry, I...

— Just shut up and come now — Jennie ordered, narrowing her eyes. Chaeyoung swallowed and followed her. But she found it strange as soon as she noticed the door they were at.

— It's Jisoo's room — she exclaimed apprehensively as she entered the room. She didn't feel good doing that, especially without Jisoo there.

— Yes, she has a first aid kit here somewhere. Jisoo is super cautious, she always has everything. I just need to find it — Jennie said as she entered and closed the door, opening the drawers. — I found it! — she shouted, taking the little white box out of one of the cabinets. — Okay, sit down — she said, pointing to a white sofa in the office.
