When Chaeyoung decided to return to Korea, she was looking for a new life. She wanted to leave behind all the pain that Sana had caused her, and start from scratch in a place where no one knew what she had been through.

But she had to confess that not even in her wildest fantasies could she have imagined what she would find in that country. What happened between her and Jennie in the bathroom of that nightclub was something she couldn't get out of her head. She spent the whole weekend thinking about what had happened and how it could affect her. She didn't know how she would face the Korean woman at the company. Maybe quitting would be the best thing to do. However, she knew she wouldn't be able to find another job that paid as well, and she might have to go back to Australia. And once again she would be failing again. Like she had failed at everything in her life. What would she prove with this? That she could never finish anything, that she was a loser. But what difference did it make? Jennie knew that she saw her and Jisoo that night, and when she told the older woman she would be fired anyway. Maybe quitting now would be better for her. She would avoid so much embarrassment.

— Good morning — Lisa said as she entered the room and found Chaeyoung standing there staring at the untouched cup of coffee on the table.

“Hi,” she murmured, waving and taking a sip of her coffee.

— Don't try to fool me, Chaeyoung. I know what's going on. — Lisa said suddenly, narrowing her eyes. Chaeyoung jumped out of her chair in fright. — You're sick, aren't you? Since you came back from the club on Saturday night, you've been locked in your room all Sunday. I've barely seen you. And now you seem to have a stomachache. What happened? Are you feeling sick?

— Nothing happened Lisa — Chaeyoung exclaimed with a sigh of relief and packing her things. — I'm going to work, I don't want to be late.

— Okay, text me if anything happens — Lisa waved goodbye.

“I’ll leave it to you,” she promised.

During her commute to the company, Chaeyoung's thoughts only became more paranoid. And when she got off at Kim Industries, despair took over her. She took the elevator to her floor and headed to her desk. She didn't know what she would do, or how she would react when she saw Jennie. Her body trembled just remembering the kiss they had shared.

— Hi Chaeyoung — Yeji greeted her, taking her usual place. Chaeyoung smiled at her, trying not to show how uncomfortable she was. — This is going to be crazy today, Miss Jennie is sick so we'll have double the work.

— Is Jennie sick? — Chaeyoung looked at her.

— That's what I heard — Yeji sighed, arranging the papers on the table.

Chaeyoung bit her lip in thought. Jennie had been absent, and that couldn't be just a coincidence. Had she used the excuse of being sick to avoid having to face her? No, Jennie had no reason to do that. To her, that event was irrelevant, it meant nothing. Maybe she really had gotten sick, and it was all a coincidence.

“Chaeyoung,” Yeji called out to her. “Do you know if Jisoo has any plans today? That investor from London wants to set up a meeting with her to close the deal.”

— I'll check.

Yeah, it would be a long day.

Without Jennie to help, Chaeyoung was left with most of the work. She had to reorganize Jisoo's entire schedule, schedule meetings, and meet with some partners in person. Yeji helped as much as she could, but it was still a lot. And to think that Jennie handled all of that, she really was a strong-willed woman. How long had she been in a relationship with Jisoo? It hadn't started recently, the way they were when Chaeyoung saw them identified that they were used to acting this way. They had known each other for years. Chaeyoung only thought about Jisoo's fiancé, she didn't know the guy that well, but she felt sorry for him. No one deserves to be deceived, especially by someone who claims to love us. She had already been through this, in the worst possible way, with Sana. So she sympathized with Yukhei, and for that reason she condemned the girls' attitude.
