I had a woman sitting through the windshield of my car, the glass. Had shattered everywhere and pieces of it had fallen and pierced my skin.

She had blood all over and I didn't know who it was. I was reluctant to look at her face. Internally I had a fear it'd be someone I knew and I can't have that happen again.

I gripped the steering wheel and felt my heart beat so fast in my chest that I felt like I was close to dying.

The air was thin and I felt my lungs decrease in size, my chest hurt. I couldn't help but start breathing rapidly, trying to get as much air as I could.

I didn't even notice Jasmine had pulled in front of me and was walking over to my car. Her face drained of its colour and she looked as shocked as me, maybe even more so.

"Holy shit, Nova!" She said as she pried my door open.

I didn't respond to her as I looked over at the body once again. "Hey, you're okay, come here," Jasmine said and helped me unbuckle and pull me out of the car.

My entire body felt limp and paralyzed. I killed a woman in cold blood, her life was taken from her because of my ruthless actions. I was more focused on clearing my head than I was focusing on the road, and now because of my careless behavior, a woman died.

I stood back and looked at my car which had a body in it. "I killed her," I mumbled to myself.

"Yeah no shit," Jasmine said. "The course wasn't going this way so it's okay, no one will see it, come with me."

"And just leave it here?" I asked shocked.

"What else are you gonna do? Pull it out?" She asked sarcastically. "She's dead Nova and if you don't move, you'll end up like her." She said and pulled me along to her car.

She had a point but how could I just leave her there? I'd killed a woman and she was sitting in my car, bleeding all over it.

I sat in the passenger seat and Jasmine walked around to her side and jumped in. "We'll talk to Lola and she can help you, then you have to get to a hospital."

"A hospital, why?"

"You've got glass everywhere and more than a few cuts on your face." She pointed out and I silently agreed.

We drove back to the finish line of the race, making it second after the first car, however, people were surprised when they saw both of us in one car.

"Two people in one car never means a good thing," I heard someone in the crowd whisper.

Jasmine pulled me into the shop and sat me down. "Okay, here's what we're gonna do, I'm gonna get Lola—"

"Lola?" I questioned sternly. "The woman who's just going to tell me to not feel over and move on? The woman who put $75,000 on my name, only for me to lose?"
