After taking a shower, getting dressed, and grabbing my bag, I head downstairs, where I find the kitchen and living room dead silent.

Checking my watch, I see that it's only 6:30 a.m.

I put my bag on one of the chairs next to the kitchen island and start waking everyone up.
Some people are more grumpy than others, but by 6:50, I manage to get everyone awake and getting themselves ready.

Hu Tao, knowing the house like it's her own, goes up to my room for a shower, and Lumine follows her.
I don't mind; they've been here before, so it's fine.

At 7:15, everyone is ready to go, and Venti is the last one to arrive.

"Sorry, guys, I needed to make my hair presentable after last night."

"Yeah, yeah, is everybody here?"
I ask. Receiving a positive response from the whole squad, I look back one last time at the living room and kitchen, both spotless, thanks to everyone's help.

Finally heading out, we all start walking toward the school.

"Ari, why did we leave so early? We still have 45 minutes."
Kazuha asks.

"Because we're going to have breakfast at a bar, which is why I didn't let you guys eat earlier."
I reply, turning to him and receiving an "ohh" in response.
Arriving at the bar everyone orders and pays.
We then start walking toward the school.

"This is the first time I'm this early to school."
Layla says, taking a sip of her coffee.

"There's a first for everything, Lay Lay."
I tell her, linking our arms.
We have to wait 20 minutes before we can go to class, so we sit on the stairs in front of the entrance, some of us eating, others chatting.

"So, Chongyun, did you enjoy that mess of a birthday yesterday?"
Ga Ming jokingly asks.

"Yes, guys, thanks. It was dope."
the blue-haired boy responds, receiving cheers from Venti and 'Ming.
Hu Tao and I high-five each other, exchanging a 'mission complete' look.

It's now lunchtime, and I'm talking to Kazuha about a new song I want to cover when I'm abruptly interrupted by someone dropping their lunch tray on the table.

"Hu, what the fuck?"

"What happened?"
the white-haired boy I was talking to asks.

"Physics happened."
she replies, annoyed, as she sits down in her chair.

"Physics? Shit's easy."
I smugly respond, just to annoy her.

"Yeah, for a nerd no-lifer like you."
she retorts, looking me up and down.

"Okay, ouch. I was just joking, sorry."
I say, realizing she's angrier than I thought.

"What's up with her?"
Lumine asks as she sits down, noticing Hu Tao's expression.

"Physics."

"Oh, well, you know Ari will help you, so c'mon, sit properly and enjoy your food."
she says, patting Hu on the back.

"...yeah."
Hu replies in an unconvinced tone.

After a bit of insisting, I discover that Hu has a physics written test and feels completely unprepared.

"C'mon, girl, stop by the lab this afternoon so I can help you revise."
I offer.

"Okay, I'll text my parents to let them know I'll be home a bit later than usual."

"Yeah, now cheer up, Hu! I can't stand to see my best friend so gloomy."
I say, ruffling her hair.

"Hey! You bitch."
she yells, smacking my hand away.
